funnily enough there are a wide range of speculation about the price of bitcoin by the end of this year and most of them are speaking of very huge prices such as $10,000 and above.

i personally don't know anymore
before activation of SegWit things were more predictable, with a slow rise over time. but SegWit put an end to the old scaling debate and opened up way for bigger rises. we saw the rise from $2400 to $4000 (mostly) because of it. and we can expect much more at a faster pace.

I think it will be around 6000 $. If we follow the current trend , then it is expected that bitcoins will reach the 5000$ mark by the end of next month; currently it is trading at 4400$. As per my gut feeling, the price will hit 7000$ mark and then will be stable around 6000$.

I think the price of will increase by the end of 2017. In addition to that, I think the price of bitcoin will become $5000 by the end of 2017 and it will result to a good income. I hope it would happen and I believe that the price of bitcoin will increase day by day after the year of 2017.

By observing the market scenario and all the dips and increase in price during the beginning of this year i expect that the price will going to cross $5000 by the end of this year. We have seen a downfall in the price before august and a boost soon after august 1, the price is now fluctuating around $4300 and #4400, so even if we have to face a dip in the upcoming month the price will get the $5000 benchmark by the end of the year.

At the end of this year 2017, my prediction is that the price of bitcoin will be doubled or tripled depends on the demand. There are many people supporting now on bitcoin that's why the tendency is to increase its value at end of every year. But I observed that also every month the price of bitcoin is increasing that's I'm glad to happen that.

My prediction wouldn't be a wild one but I expect an $8000 mark by the end of this year or back to $2000 ranges if Antpool continues to act childish which may turn some potential investors off. Weird thing is even if there are bad things that happened for the first quarter of this year, the price continued to surge.

I have high hopes that it would be the same trend for the rest of the year.

I will go along with the prediction of a known Bitcoin trader,  $7500 at the end of the year.  We have seen how fast bitcoin goes up this past month, fron 2000 USD to 4000 USD now it is climbing to 5000USD which is not far from happening.  Adoption, Government acceptance, medias, hyped and the upcoming developmnt.  Those will certainly push bitcoin to $7500 at the end of this year.

I agree with mate, I am positive that it will continue to rise this year. And I am also positive that it will reach up to 8k. That's why I'm buying bitcoin soon and hold the bitcoin I earned from signature campaign. And I will hold as many bitcoin as I can earn for it will still rise in the coming years!:) Feeling exciter here.

I think that your prediction is reasonable, with this high potential of bitcoin nowadays. I believe that the price will increase and achieve the 8k$ in the end of this year, but to be very optimistic, I think that bitcoin price will achieve the 5500$ easily and soon.
As we now, bitcoin community become more larger now, every singel day a lot of peoples inroll this community so automatically bitcoin price will increase a lot.

Unbelievable year for bitcoin. It's like nothing can slow it down, not even a hard fork that was designed to make it fail. The craziest thing in my eyes is that the general public STILL isn't really aware of it. Very few of my acquaintances even know what it is. The few that do, don't own any and have little to no interest in it. I went to the bank the other day to open up a fiat account. Talked to a representative and mentioned that I had invested a little in bitcoin and the conversation we had was unreal. This guy, that works at a bank, virtually had no clue about bitcoin or cryptos. His exact words were that "Oh yeah, I've heard of it. I read an article about it a few weeks ago. Interesting stuff." That was literally his entire exposure to bitcoin. I have no idea where it can go but I can't wait until Joe Public starts buying it up. The moon's the limit

It is sure that price will be above $5000 but it is hard to predict the exact price it will have by end of this year. I don't think there will be any panic on market in next few months other than possible split on november but price might recover quickly on that date too just like it recovered from august 1st panic.

There is still a period of 4 months until the end of 2017. There are still many possibilities that can happen. yes most prices will only move in the range of 6000 $ up to 7000 $. but we can see a lower price, bitcoin prices are not easy to predict because bitcoins can change very quickly.

I think my prediction last year or the year before was $263.56 by now.

I'm now upping it to $263.58 by the end of the year. I'm very confident it'll be at least that price.

Other than that let's see whether we carry on forking into oblivion. I'm pretty sure there will be no 2X and that'll be settled long before November so perhaps the skies will be relatively clear.
