I have a metal foundry and I LOVE making things from Aluminum. I can do lost foam castings as well as sand casts.  If anyone would be interested in something made for them, I'd love to do it!

I just posted one of the things I've made here: http://www.bitcoinclassifieds.net/ad/605/ and you can see a solid aluminum mask we made here: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/84/24816518547327817113814.jpg/

I like that mask! I have been lurking the backyard metal casting forum recently, and thought it would be cool to do. I however, can't seem to find a quality refractory, and I'm not about to waste time with "home made" refractory! lol
G/L with your sales!

I happen to have a skid of firebricks, 200 total bricks, that are rated up to 2000 degrees. I also have extra casting boxes and crucibles. Got any interest in making a deal?  I can get some pics, specs, and the like together...

I might be interested in a smallish crucible! Maybe a 3-4" Dia. graphite!?! Something in the 1-3BTC range!
I've been interested in making custom water cooling blocks out of copper, or silver!  Grin

The smallest I have is a size 8 graphite cruicible, rated to almost 3000 degrees F. It has a 6 inch diameter across the mouth.  Larger than what you are looking for.... but these are the BEST.  Want some pictures and a price?

edit: would be more than 3....

pm sent! be glad to field any questions you have about casting, if you'd like. I could probably cram a bag of the BEST DAMN CASTING SAND EVER MADE (petrobond) inside it for shipping if you'd like, gratis.

I'd like a few transmission bellhousings but it would require a lot of work to figure out the mold alone oO;

Let me know if you have any interest in such, as it would be quite an amount of work to figure them out, but you could make a good deal of money selling them to the right audience Smiley
Nevermind they would be kinda big.

I can pour something that big. You would use lost foam casting to create a bell housing hot wire cut and glued together then dipped in a refractory shell, but after casting you would still have to machine it.

Indeed it would still need machining, there is some people who make the custom bellhousings, but asking 700£ for each which still requires machining, and he only makes 5 or less per year, doing castings only once a year ... It might be just easier to fabricate
