I think that bitcoin illegal in Asia because government of Asia countries afraid of bitcoin. They think that cryptocurrency could be used as covert economic weapon. Moreover the governments think that cryptocurrencies could corrupt youth and lead to social pathological phenomena.

Probably because some Asian countries are a developing country so the government is still worried about the bad effects of bitcoin, developed countries like the US do not seem to support bitcoin either, so it's natural that some Asian countries ban bitcoin
It doesn't mean illegal but the government don't have control on it, if you trade bitcoin is at your own risk. I don't know in some other nation in the middle east if they are prohibiting their citizen to engage with bitcoin trading, only China as I've had strong opposition with the bitcoin but I think that they are warning their citizen not to engage in bitcoin if they will engage in their own risk but doesn't mean they would be penalized in using Bitcoin. |

Most of the countries in Asia are supporting cryptocurrency and they aren't banning in only few starts to give barrier to their citizen for banning bitcoin. I don't know if it's just a rumor or a reality that in Bangladesh bitcoin is totally banned. I have read someone here posted it that it's a crime when they are trading bitcoin. Let's just hope that time won't come that every country will not ban bitcoin whether it's on Asia, Europe or with any continent. |

That's a pity but bitcoin is banned not only in Bangladesh but also in Nepal, Bolivia, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco and Ecuador. I hope it is the full list, and this countries will stay in minority. |

Most countries in Asia doesn't recognize Bitcoin as legal but through the trend majority of the people that is using Bitcoin. Government tends to support the exchanges only and not the Bitcoin itself because some of the news they have read are making a FUD stories which brings a negative effect to the country. And also other people that is going with the flow of the trend is using Bitcoin for their selfish acts by scamming people using the pyramid system and ponzi scheme.

Not all the governments in Asia are opposed to Bitcoin. Take the case of Japan for example. They are one of the most Bitcoin-friendly nations in the world. In bitcoin asia is still illegal because one of the largest banks in Asia, DBS, considers that the currency of cryptocurrency bitcoin is a scheme of financial fraud. but in fact Japan became the largest bitcoin market and China will consider the legality in the pass but not in a short time.

Some countries in Asia are prohibited their citizens in using bitcoins in their daily transactions or in trading. Many cryptocurrency exchanges are raided and closed particularly in China and there are reports that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies might eventually banned in that country. In my country, bitcoin is not yet legal but the central bank have already imposed regulations on existing cryptocurrency exchanges here in our country. Japan is now a bitcoin-friendly nation for not imposing any regulations and taxes to their exchanges.

it is illegal in Asia, because bitcoin doesn't pay taxes in the government and the government are too angry of it because they don't earn money from it. It is the reason why bitcoin is not accepted in Asia.

Perhaps you know the word 'scam' since bad people are coinciding with the trend and using Bitcoin to attract more people to invest on their pyramid investments scam or ponzi scheme. If lots of people are complaining about of the scam, it will attract the attention of the government also that's why the governments are taking a legal actions to stop the scammers from keep on doing this kind of scheme. Not every country in Asia are banning Bitcoin but
few of them are prohibited though you can still use, buy or sell your Bitcoin on your own.

Not in my country, Personally, i dont see any grounds for a government to declare it illegal, since it only operates like a game of collecting coins but Still some banned bitcoin. we dont know what's going on in their country. Since we're not in it. Let's just be thankful |

I am from Indonesia. in my country it is prohibited to trade with bitcoin. any sale and purchase must be in rupiah. can not use bitcoin directly. and the Bank Indonesia banned the use of Bitcoin one of them to prevent the occurrence of many crimes. Because, as long as Bitcoin transactions are often used for criminal activities, such as alleged terrorism, money laundering, or immoral acts.
