What Hashrate would I need from my CPU to be profitable mining Monero? I'm trying to find something worth mining and I like Monero just not sure it would be worth it.
cpu mining monero you will just burn money... i think xmg coin is best for cpu mining |

core - 1300
mem - 2055, Samsung, ubermix3.1 timings
Claymore 9.7 - 980 H/s
XMR-Stak-AMD - 964 H/s
Not bad results I think
Not very possible i would say. 880H/s MAYBE. With hard OC it may break 1000h/s, but these values seem for my very low for this hashrate. Yeah it might be typo. Its possible to hit 1kH with polaris, I have done it and its not very powerwise to stay at the clocks my GPU was when I hit it. |

If he gets 980hs with claymore that means he can get about 1050hs with sgminer, which to admit it would be a surprise cause he is using the ubermix strap, not some heavily customised strap.

Indeed but on windows, I've hit 1kH on linux but clocks were insane -> core 1450, mem 2300 +50mV @tw ~185W.Don't actually know the difference in hashrate compared linux/windows but there was some in favour of windows of course. |

My results weren't a typo. Now I get even higher hashrate with XMR-Stak-AMD I use Win 10 x64 and the last blockchain driver. Key parts of my configs with high results: Claymore Cryptonote 9.7 980 H/s XMR-Stak-AMD 965 H/s "gpu_thread_num" : 1

Guys I have a question I'm trying to setup my rig so I can can choose a coin and mine and when I setup monero it freezes on the claymore miner and won't start up. I'm running win 10 8gb ram 1x xfx 580 8gb 1x xfx 570 4gb 2x xfx 470s and 2x msi gaming x 8gb 480s. I already created a wallet and put the right info in the files but it freezes when it looks for cards. I'm using the new blockchain driver and all cards are currently bios missed for ethereum.
What is your virtual memory page file size? 16gb if I recall. I'm not by it at the moment |
