Short answer is support, in terms of price. You may need billions for buy support especially at $4000 range without this support price may easily go down. I think the development is still in good poise however they are corruptible and government may use them to stir the development path on their agenda. Remember that price and development are not the same thing.

Really there is hardly anything we can do to stop it from dropping in price because its by default that will happen but what we can do something about is not letting it result into a crash which is why we should not give in to panic decision making activities by engaging in massive offload of our wallets. With this we are sure to be back on track.

The Economy has its ways, all things that go up at some moment have to decrease some day. You can not do many things to prevent this to happen unless you have too much money to spent (like many billions of dollars). In case you have this money, when the bitcoin will crash it is simple: invest your billions of dollars in buying bitcoin at that moment.

By buying bitcoin and introducing this to your friends and family this would help to increase the demands of bitcoin. But for now I don't see it will crash since bitcoin is becoming well known and most used by other people. And mostly the demand is increasing as the value is going up.

Hi! I know this might sound obvious to anyone but I really want to know in what way we can do our share to bitcoin to prevent it from crashing. I am still a Jr. Member and I still don't know everything about bitcoin that's why I am asking some help. Almost all of us have high hopes that someday we will rejoice with bitcoin so altogether we must do our fair share in order bitcoin to survive.
Since bitcoin is a currency. I suggest that advertise it, because the more people will use bitcoin, the less probability it may crush. Another reason for this is that if many people depends on bitcoin it is less likely to crush.

we need to do a lot of work to introduce bitcoin and spread into many people so bitcoin will be know as a new way and new technologies that can help them and us to make money. although there is many people still don't believe in bitcoin, but i am sure that we can found other people which want to join bitcoin and use bitcoin. there is still many people out there that need help to make their life better and if we can help them then it will be good for them and us too. i wish bitcoin will be spread to the world like your hope.

Yes, we must altogether help advertise and spread bitcoin even in our own circle of friends and families. Do not just hold bitcoins you have but use it also in buying online and paying bills. Once you have the same amount of fiat, buy equivalent amount of bitcoin as replacement. Yes, OP is right, Law of supply and demand will always be the law. I hope the whales out there will not just dump their bitcoins all at once to save us all.

Some people in this thread are talking about holding, saving is good but economy will grow just if we use bitcoin more then we save it. One part of my profit and earning is going back into crypto world, some parts in gambling, some in altcoins and icos, but one part is going to safe place for saving. If whales dupm all their coins it will be tricky, cashing out can be dangerous for bitcoins I fear a bit from that too. I agree too about sharing knowledge about bitcoin to people who never heard about it, in that wat we help bitcoin to spread across the world and with using bitcoins we are making bitcoin stronger.

What i am doing personally to prevent bitcoin from going down is to always talk about his good stories in order to keep a good image at the head of people who don't use bitcoin yet and also consider the bad stories like 1st august like an Exception that would never happen again.

I'm scared about the idea that Bitmain is holding a huge amount of BTC which they mined in the early years of ASIC mining equipment and that they will sell all their BTC at once, causing the most fatal crash in the complete history of BTC.
imho if they decide to sell, they won't sell it all at once. They would sell it few at a time over six months period. I'm not saying that' exactly how they would do it but that would be the smart way to do it unless they wanna lose money.

It's not up to us or poor people like us. It's completely up to the whales carrying tons of bitcoins in their wallets. If they deserve a market crash, it happens in a blink of an eye. We're able to prevent bitcoin from getting damaged by a market crash.

Whales are trader never sell all their Bitcoin in once, they are understand the benefit from hold Bitcoin in long term and with the momentum growth in this year, why they need decide sell all it? So, they will sell their Bitcoin with small amount enough for their needs and take profit all before breakdown buuble Bitcoin. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

You cannot do anything as bitcoin is decentralized which means it has no central authority to dictate to it what to do. I know that there are the whales in trading that usually manipulate the price but lately they have been quiet and have not done a lot to make the price of bitcoin crash. Bitcoin has been stable in the upper level of the prices and I don't think it will go down for the short term, for the longer term we don't know how it will go but I hope on the upper side.

First of all, Bitcoin is not going to crash. Well, at least I don’t see it crashing in the near future. Do you know what the purpose of a deflationary currency is? Do you even know that Bitcoin is a deflationary currency? Well even if you do I’ll just summarise the basic concept behind a deflationary currency. Google define deflation as: “When the overall price level decreases so that inflation rate becomes negative, it is called deflation.” Basically negative inflation. In other words, the actual value of any currency increases. This happens when the actual supply of the currency (the coins in the case of Bitcoin) decreases. Thus supply is decreased and price increases. So Bitcoin price will almost definitely continue to rise in price even if the demand for Bitcoin remains the same. So in order for Bitcoin to crash, there needs to be a massive reduction in price. But to help Bitcoin spread and prosper, all that we need to do is spread word about it. Tell it to a friend or family. Get more people to use it. Bitcoin will prosper by itself if it has such support from this community.

I really dont think that bitcoin will crash. But since youre asking a prevention, why dont us, bitcoin users advertise it more to those who are non-users. In that case, they'll be more encourage to become bitcoin users too. That will prevent bitcoin from crashing I think.

Well the only way to make sure Bitcoin doesn't crash anytime soon is to support it. Support bitcoin through using it for everyday things, such has buying stuff online and using Bitcoin for whatever in real life purchases you can make using Bitcoin. I don't think Bitcoin will crash soon though, support for it has been growing ever since the huge pump to 4k and it looks like support will continue to grow.

Bitcoins are rising due to consumer demand. If it is reduced or no buyer will be able to stabilize its price and slowly decrease. But since it flactuating it may fall or rise for just a few hours. To prevent the bitcoins crashes is to only buy them.
