I have ordered several L3 miners about 3 months ago. The delivery of my batch was set to the beginning of August!
At the beginning of August, I got an email, saying that my batch is ready to ship and that tracking information will follow shortly.
After no receiving any tracking information in the following 2 weeks, I decided to write them a ticket, which they did not respond to for 2 weeks so far.
After waiting patiently, I have submitted another ticket few days ago, still no response.
Did any of you guys have problems with the L3 batches?
Kind regards, O.

Going insolvent? Ha - no. They are a regular printing press making money faster than they can count it. Not defending them but they are swamped with orders.

I haven't had problems ordering from them over the years and they definitely aren't insolvent. One guess would be they have a backlog of tickets or orders.

The main question is. Did the other customers get their early August batches, or not? Regards, O.

The main question is. Did the other customers get their early August batches, or not? Regards, O. There were two August batches. The first was scheduled to ship from Bitmain between August 15-25 and the second August batch was actually August 28th through September 12th. The OP is mistaken about having an "Early" August batch. Perhaps they had a July 20-30 batch, but there was no early August batch. We received our mid August batch already and have received shipping confirmation for the late August / early Sept batch.

I was recently emailing back and forth with one of the owners, and they're basically sending out the largest patches first. The ideas to make sure that the larger mining farms in pool get resupplied first and then the individual user last. It would just be crazy to try to to supply in the opposite direction that might cause a shift in the power index.

I ordered for the Aug 28-Sept 12 batch, and miners got shipped out exactly on the 28th. Sounds like there was a mess up with your order.

Yup, he needs to contact Bitmain to see what's going on.

Bitmain almost always ships right on time, so I would contact them if my shipment would be very late from the schedule.

Ok, thanks everyone for the feedback, my machines shipped around the 1st of September, allesgut! I will keep you posted once I receive them and have a chance to test 'em out? P.S How noisy are those? Is it possible to have 4-8 on a porch of cottage? :') P.S2 I was stupid enough not to order any PSU, any recommendation for an affordable Europe-compatible PSU.

OK, package seems to be stopped by customs. Do BitMain typically declare the value of the package? how do they do it if I pay with LTC? LTC was way cheaper back in the day. Thanks, O.

Thank you for your feedback! Would it be possible to get an all-in-one solution, possibly in a local shop (North Europe). Thanks again! O.

This is one of the reasons why I mainly try to stay away from ASICs. The larger miners who buy in bulk get first mover advantage and milk out those juicy first month profits while the small time miner sits on the sidelines fretting about his or her order. By the time most smaller miners get up and running, the big boys have already recovered a good chunk of their ROI while the little guy is just starting. It ends up being a hamster wheel as then a new tech is announced and the cycle continues, again with the bigger miners who probably made ROI already can again front-run everyone else and thus the cycle continues.

I would still suggest using the breakout board and buy or make PCI-E power cables for it.

The thing is that the machines are here, delivery times are around 2 weeks, that's a loss of money. If moding the server board is safe for the miners, I would use them, if power output (2.5A max per endpoint) is too little and will hurt performance, I can always sell those to PPL with similar miners that consume less power on ebay once replacement arrives. What do you reckon? Thanks, O. P.S Where do you mine? Do you mine on a standard pool? merge mining? multi mining? I came up with a merge+multi mining pool with a friend, and it was much more profitable than Prohashing for us with our 2 old miners (Innosilicon A2 and one tube of an A4).

Well it's fine as long as soldering and all work are done properly with proper knowledge.
I use Prohashing.

Ok, thanks for the tip! What is your hashing power? Would you be willing to try out something new? Regards, O.

This is obviously not the case here. Bitmain delivered on their promise, with only a few days of delay! I might consider changing the title of the thread to be fair to them.
