I am new here so forgive me if some parts of it look silly..

I am interested the take of the bitcoin in hindsight from people who actually lived through 2012-17 mining or trading bitcoin.

Could you please share the essence of the times. Jumps from gpu to asic and then asics wars and prices rise then drop the stagnate for couple years. And now it's skyrocketing.

I am interested how did you manage in the aspects :

- the tech wars (did you engage or stay away or skip a generation of hardware and jump again in etc)
- your bitcoins (did you dump or held, have you sold it now or still holdin etc)
- your emotions. Did you feel and are still feeling it has future or it was yoyoing between f.ck it and I am over the moon

Thanks in advance

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

- the tech wars (did you engage or stay away or skip a generation of hardware and jump again in etc)

Whoever participated in mining at 2012 has been quite tech savvy

- your bitcoins (did you dump or held, have you sold it now or still holdin etc)

Most have dumped.. buying pizzas for 2k BTC or T-shirts for 500 BTC etc.

- your emotions. Did you feel and are still feeling it has future or it was yoyoing between f.ck it and I am over the moon

If they knew how much it would be worth one day they would obviously not dump and if people knew how much it would be worth more would have got into it
