The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

anyone try different miners? which seems to be yielding the best results? i have AMD and Nvidia riggs.

AMD - claymore. make sure you have the latest drivers with the DAG fix (if you are mining ETH).
NVIDIA - ethminer has cuda optimizations and performs better vs others

if you dualmine, claymore is recommended. i stopped dual mining though because it draws more power and heat.

download links here
http://whale.orchardcoins.com/#/help

love u orchard always helpful!

yea im dual mining, i think i might have to stop that as well.
seems like i save roughly 100 watts!

i cant seem to get what these other guys are pushing 30+ mh/s with 580s, and low voltage. i have top of the line 580s asus strix samsung models all new. im pushing 29 with flashed bios 1750 to 2000.

ETH: GPU0 28.073 Mh/s, GPU1 29.512 Mh/s, GPU2 28.775 Mh/s, GPU3 28.334 Mh/s, GPU4 28.334 Mh/s, GPU5 29.052 Mh/s

yeah. i also never got 30MH+ working stable. i do not have an 8GB card though, all 4GB.

i believe a lot of the 30MH guys are probably just rounding off their 29MH, or some might have 30MH but not perfectly stable, or they are focusing on the peak MH and not average MH. with silicone lottery, i think there are still true 30MH lucky cards but not as common as we see in the forums.

personally, i try to clock it down everytime i see an incorrect share or when the rig reboots. it is very important to have a stable rig - because your +1MH is nothing if you keep losing 170MH everytime the rig reboots.

yes, 100w is really a lot! i dont think it can justify the second coin. also, claymore steals 2% when you dual mine right. Tongue

so what ethminer are you guys using when i search it on the forums i find this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1368785.0 which has an old ethminer it seems, when i manually search it on google i get a version 12 instead of 9 thats on the forum. https://github.com/ethereum-mining/ethminer/releases

The ethminer is an Ethereum GPU mining worker. This is the actively maintained version of ethminer. It originates from cpp-ethereum project (where GPU mining has been discontinued) and builds on the improvements made in Genoil's fork. See FAQ for more details.

https://github.com/ethereum-mining/ethminer

What is ethminer's relationship with Genoil's fork?

Genoil's fork was the original source of this version, but as Genoil is no longer consistently maintaining that fork it became almost impossible for developers to get new code merged there. In the interests of progressing development without waiting for reviews this fork should be considered the active one and Genoil's as legacy code.

ty sir for the information, i fired up and im getting these hashes.

m  20:47:57|main      Speed 130.95 Mh/s    gpu/0 16.08  gpu/1 16.43  gpu/2 16.43  gpu/3 16.26  gpu/4 16.43  gpu/5 16.61  gpu/6 16.26  gpu/7 16.43  [A3+0:R0+0:F0] Time: 00:01

claymore i was hashing out exactly 23.900 per card all evenly.
must be a setting on ethminer im missing i just used this line:

ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 500 -U -SP 1 -S whale.orchardcoins.com:8008 -O <ADDRESS>.<WORKER>

oh yes, you have to pass the cuda optimization flags. try this:

ethminer --farm-recheck 5000 -U -S whale-eu.orchardcoins.com:8008 -O <wallet> -SP 1 --cuda-parallel-hash 4 --cuda-grid-size 1024 --cuda-block-size 128

yep most command line executables can be appended with a "--help"

just run "ethminer --help" and you will get a list of all the flags Smiley
