It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Yeah, as long as Coinbase continues to focus on the security aspect and stores most of their coins offline, this is a potentially revolutionary breakthrough for bringing non-tech savvy individuals into the Bitcoin universe, which is crucial going forward.

lol I guess so, I have been impressed with how they have stayed on top of the security angle, they realize trust is the most important part in their business model.
