What's your favorite 3 altcoins and why?

prefer litecoin eth and btc because every time currency exchange is always smooth and time is not too long to wait for it.

I'd go with ZenCash (growth potential private transactions), Mysterium (growth potential, useful use case if peer to peer VPN is achievable, it might not be), and finally Eth if it's still considered an altcoin (difficulty bomb).

Eth is best altcoin. first i like eth then i like waves and next.
i like for long time hold and i think this coin is good for long run. This coin have own platform i this coin is best.

There are so many others but it's really the biggest investment I've ever had. I'm looking forward to the best development for me. We saw it and we also earn here as well. The ethereum is one that has been released as a result of its price increase in just 3 years. Because of the wonderful developments people had to invest in here. The LTC has been a long time in its entirety and because of the good development this year, I'm sure it will increase in its current price right now,

No comment on bitcoincash but this is a good also

When it comes for long term my 3 favorite coins is:
BTC,ETH,XMR

When it comes for short term trades which i do actively doing shorts:
BCH,RIPPLE,ADX

As of now,these are the list on which i do categories them in both long term and short term.

My top three favorite altcoins now would probably Bitcoin, for the obvious reason which is the most stable coin for me and easily convert them into fiat; second would be Ethereum because I feel comfortable with making transactions with this coin and it is so much faster; and lastly would probably be XEM/NEM because so far out of all the coins that dropped its price when Bitcoin hit the hardfork this coin remained stable out of all the coins.

btc is the best and most popular.it's price is growing high.zEth also good coin.it's price also raising. waves are also growing. i have some waves and I'm holding it.

1: BTC - first mover, biggest network
2: LTC - early in the game, much faster than bitcoin
3: Onion - new privacy coin that uses TOR for complete privacy.

I also like other privacy coins like CloakCoin and Monero.

Ethereum= because is like a new competitor of bitcoin, many icos using it and i believe this good news for eth holders
Bitcoincash= the mining is profitable than mining bitcoin
Dogecoin= make use of a very cheap fees of all amount of transaction.

The three altcoin that I like are:

1. Magi or XMG.  Community is friendly and helpful especially magic.  Developer of XMG (Joelao95) had established that he is trustworthy and keep on working on the project even if it does not start with crowdfunding. 
2. RLC: gave me a good profit in trading
3. NEM : big and friendly community.

I have been finding it difficult to discover where ICO's are launched, let alone which ones are the most promising?

How do we expect to find out when they are launched?

My favorite coins are LTC, ETH and NEM. With the first two I think everything is clear. But NEM, in my opinion, will still show!)

2. Litecoin - for its transaction time and low fees, and steady price
3. Neo - think it has Eth-like potential if China stops being so controlling of crypto (will never happen)

Litecoin   =  although this coin price is down now , i see the price of this coin will be better and rise in future
