Computer crashed with data, how can i get back into my electrum wallet?

So first, im a big noob when it comes to Bitcoin so please keep that in mind.
Last week i created a normal electrum wallet with a seed and a password. Then my computer crashed and all data was gone. I still have the seed but how can i get into my old account with the +0.5 B ? I dont have tried many ways because im not sure and i want to do nothing wrong. You would make my day way better when helping me with this problem.

Install electrum on your computer. Then when you go through the "Make a new wallet" wizard, choose the option to enter a seed. Enter your seed phrase and use the Electrum defaults for everything else. Your wallet will be regenerated and you will be able to access your coins again.

Hi there,

Unfortunately I experienced the same problem. Crash, reinstall etc.
However, I filled in my seed phrase, but there is still no result. How long can it take to sync transactions? Because my wallet is completely empty (and it for sure wasn't before crashing). I checked the transactions, all should still be there, since it's still unspent after receiving.

Any other suggestions what I can do or how long I should wait?

If your transactions are not showing up, then you filled in the wrong seed phrase.

Check the addresses in the address tab (you may need to use "view -> show addresses") if the addresses are different there from your old wallet, then you've definitely got the wrong seed.

Was this originally a seed from another wallet? Did you extend the seed with extra words? Have you got another wallet file that this seed actually belongs to and the wallet you lost had a completely different seed? I've seen a couple of users who have got confused when they have multiple wallets created in Electrum.

This is why it's a good idea to make sure you can restore a wallet using the seed BEFORE you need to and find you've written it down wrong or are restoring the wrong wallet...
