I am sure everyone has their opinions about what will take off and what won't.  Any recommendations on what I should be looking for when it comes to alt coins?  Is there any good articles out there about what one could improve my value the most?   Is it worth it to invest in a low amount coin and buy a ton of them hoping it doubles?  IE:  1 cent to 2 cent increase is double profit.

Thank you again for all the suggestions.  Where does one go about actually purchasing these.  I would prefer to purchase the coin straight up and not transfer or exchange any of my current coins.  I would like to buy with US dollar.  Any wallet recommendations for these as well?

dimcoin still long time enough to listed on exchanger, maybe skincoin is good to pick because no big exchanger that listed them yet, and the price is far from ICO price

Waves and OMG. They are both still cheap and are both great coins. As far as ICOs, I like Viberate and Aventus, but Remember, every ICO is a huge risk, so don't take my word for it.

So far invested in OKcash, went in at 1600 sats, it's hitting 3000 right now. So IMO atleast OK seems to be pretty promising

CV2 coin, which is now being traded at 3 sats and will be rebranded September 15th to and swapped with COLX, while reducing the coin supply by at least 50%. Which can only mean huge gains. By the time of the swap the coin will be worth at least 10 sats (which is 3x gains in 2 weeks from now) and after that it might rocket to 50 or more short term. In the long term, who knows, they have a nice roadmap and it looks promising. Could be the next 100x coin

First, I am advising you that you should buy alternative coins with these conditions: You must know first if the coin is a shitcoin. If it is not a shitcoin then you should go and buy it. And you should look on the team that is behind that coin. After that you should consider the projects they are aiming thus reading the whitepaper might help. Go for ethereum, Neo, XRP, XVG.

Heh...I would love to just spend $14,000 grand and have it wait 5 years...I just don't have that kind of money.  I am looking for more cheaper coins that could potentially double in value quickly.  Then if I do that enough times perhaps I would do the monero.

Buy a bag of coins at 10 satoshi, thus wait until they go up to 15 or more and thus sell. This is my advise to fast speculation. Otherwise, buy 0.001 bitcoin. It might make you millionaire in a decade.
