i do pplns

and I do some solo ------  about ½ day  the other ½ I point at mmpool.org  then I go back to 6 days of bcc at viabtc.

I am hold some bcc and some btc

I cash  some of each.

I mine some btc.

A move will be made here  with bcc and btc

Nice contraption. Are you planning on measuring sound levels before and after? A spectrum capture would be perfect. Unless you have a proper equipment with calibrated mike laying around, you can find a simple app for a smartphone. Would be interesting to see the difference in dB's from the same distance keeping the same mike orientation. I'm sure there are apps that can capture a simple frequency spectrum as well.

I have a good db meter.  even  with it not done correctly  at the moment it drops sound 5db.

I can get it to 55db (I think)  cost for me will be pretty low as I had something for the plywood.
It is not lite weight  but the top  will be 1 piece of mdf ½ inch which will not be heavy.

I do builds like this to get people to garage mine.
The solar array is pretty big and we may expand it a lot in the next year.
Most people are not going to build a six acre  solar array along with a 1 acre array.

But a 30 amp circuit providing 24 amps or 5500 watts  is doable. In any two car garage if you have only 1 car in the garage.

Thanks for the explanation.  I was just wondering what would happen if one of those two services were to go down.  Would there be a manual way to still get to your coins or are you screwed?

worse comes to worse you can import the trezor seed words/passphrase into another (bip38 or bip39? cant remember) wallet and all your addresses will be there. so even if all the trezor related stuff goes down you still have access to your coins.

Some IT recycling company from Texas has listed them as Baytec (with no h) and got no hits on ebay for $100 e.a. shipped. I talked them into selling them for $55 e.a. shipped in US.  I've been thinking about getting some of the Quanta Windmill servers they have on surplus.

 As long as my A2 units stay profitable though, I'm not in a rush - don't have a lot of 220 available in the current space and the A2 make more per watt used at this point.

@citronick jesus 168 units? each pulling 1100 watts ? and you already have 108 S9s that is a huge farm comparative to most.  I hear good thing about the A7 but its hard to pass up the efficiency of the s9 at close to 14TH for 1400 watts, I just hope these ones are not duds.

Yeah I hear you on the go big or go home but , I'm working with a much smaller bank roll and I like the ability to have direct access to my gear in the house and the garage for now at least.  I only have access to around 130k or so watts of power so I have to go with more efficent gear
GPU's and the 14NM asics.  

If some of my stashed coins strike big I will look into hosting a large amount of asics but for more I'll just Marvell at you big time miners /respect

All the ASICs are eating watts at Cryptoboreas, Labrador-NFL-Canada - cheap hydropower.
My group pre-pay 3months in advance for our hosting+power bill - that gets us maximum VIP discounts.
We dont buy PSUs - rather we rent them from hosting provider - this way, they take care of all wear and tear, replacements etc.
I own only 30% of the farm, the rest are split between 3 more investors -- all retirees using their retirement funds LOL.
The wives werent to happy about this idea 2 years ago.... but now whole different story, we have ROIed and expanded on the proceeds.
2016-2017 was a good year for mining. We were lucky to have cheap Canadian hydro power and that was a major CSF in the mining investment.
I will bank on the A741s any day - they run very consistently and easy to manage.
I rather have stable environment with lower hash vs higher hash but needs babysitting all the time (this formula applies to GPU farms too).
Asics need to be install and forget as much as possible. A good night sleep is better than worrying all the time and excessive monitoring round the clock.
I have VPN and TV access to the farms at Cryptoboreas and GND (small farm of 35 x A741s).
I have access to the switched PDUs too for power cycles - so I can do my own thing in addition to onsite engineers.
My group's farm is by no means huuuge - but its not small either - there are bigger farms like what "blockmines" have which is x5 bigger.

The thing I liked about The IT Mart is that their prices seems to be somewhat negotiable. Especially on more esoteric stuff.

Ordering and inventory systems can use some improvement though. They also list some items on eBay and take offers.

1) I am waiting on the board EMS shipping is Slow.

but I ordered 2 more water cooled card today.  I have  2x 1080 ti's water cooled. I will have 4x 1070's water cooled. This will solve all  cooling issues.  Will be nice to see if the board can handle the power needed as I know  the heat will not be an issue.


2)  It is 7:16 pm in New Jersey  the viabtc.com pool shows me hashing  I should be paid in about 3 hours. I will get back with that.

 I actually had one of my A2 units go offline last night - first time in months, and only the second time it's happened on all *5* units combined that didn't involve a power outage or me shutting them down to move them.

 They were all used from Zoomhash (no clue how long Zoomhash had been mining with them before I bought them) bought almost 2 years back.

 Dunno why it went down, it came right back up when I power-cycled it.

I am  renting  some avalons to nicehash  and getting  paid almost 20% premium

I am hashing  some  avalons (3 of them) to viabtc.com pointed at bcc and getting paid   30 usd a day which comes to 10 a day each for a avalon 721

that would be 900 a month  if it lasts that long (hint it wont')
