I switched everything back to xzc. Difficulty dropped a little and less heat is always good. I've heard good things about BTX, but it requires a private miner.

For those mining ETN, what wallet are you using? So far most of the pools require a wallet to be created and there does not seem to be a usable wallet?

I prefer anonymous pools -- suprnova and coinotron are anything but that.

Also, since suprnova is fast becoming the BTG honeypot now -- it will be under the bad guys radar for sure.

This is the beginning of another "dwarfpool"...

Citronick, could you explain ? including the dwarfpool thing ?

Suprnova is a getting a lion share of BTG hash at the moment -- so its a risk towards centralization.

Same thing happened to Dwarfpool during the ETH boom when they had more than 50% of total hash.

As of last night, I switched to NH Cryptonite for all the AMD rigs, and NH Equihash for all the NVIDIA rigs.

Its just too frustrating to see the state of BTG and ETN pools currently - epic fails - wasted a day of hash power.

I miss good pools like ethpool...

Btw, as of this morning, my group finally came their senses and agreed to bailout from the X10 project and use those funds to beef up the Cryptonite and Equihash farm - therefore we will be investing in Vegas and 1070tis for 2018 expansion.

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

Got back from doctor about ready to open the box of 10 mobos.

here is a box of ten  I will be contacting people  on the list about these tonight.

Looking good!

I'm in VA Phil.  Just let me know total and I'll pay.

I milked the NiceHash "renters" for as long as I could, but I'm back to ZEC on MPH again.  Was a decent ride though!

I did break down and order a COLORFUL C.B250A-BTC PLUS from a fellow on ebay as well.  Just can't stand risers.  Been fighting a rig with 1070's (on risers) this evening.  Finally got it going after swapping out 3 of 6 risers, geez.  007 with slide locks are "bad".  006c with slide locks are better.  007 with 'lever' locks are the best, but hard to come by atm.

Thanks again Phil.  I can't wait to get this guy populated =)

I may be a little slower than the rest of the buyers to put up some XXX miner pics of the board, but hopefully ill slam through this work in the mountains in a few weeks and get a handful of cards on the way in the mail.

Link to my batch and script resources here.

Yeah I tend to agree with that last statement citronik... but one new-ish wrinkle is Electroneum. Right now it is 2x more profitable to mine than XMR...

a note of caution...these are theoretical numbers because ETN is only trading on ONE exchange (Cryptopia or something-never heard about it before) PLUS it is not even fully released yet PLUS the CEO is not a technical guy, who keeps talking about hackers and how they were trying to get in.

Anyway, my biggest beef with etn is that none of the pools are able to stand straight for several days. They keep popping in and out for at least several hours at the time. The french one was out during at least part of the weekend, for example; now I don't see the hashparty, etc, etc.

yes - wasted a whole day of hash yesterday - BTG and ETN while good for miners since its GPU mine-able -- I think they need to get their act together - pools are shiatzs - dont get me started on the wallets.... go download the ETN one on Playstore or Appstore.... its non existent - LOL why launch if there is no official wallet?

Has anyone heard of any AMD AM4 socket motherboards being designed that support 8 or more GPUs without risers?  Considering how good Ryzen is at mining while maintaining decent power and temps, I'd vastly prefer to get an AM4 motherboard with support for 8 riser free GPUs if anyone would manufacture them.

Unlikely for the near future, as Ryzen CPUs don't support very many PCI-E lanes and the CPUs themselves are still pretty expen$ive.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

what do you mean no wallet lol?  they have an excellent paper wallet that you create by moving your mouse around then you get a bright and shiny PDF with your #s lol.  Joking of course... I do agree it certainly wasn't a seemless launch but we'll see what happens. I really just wanted to a change up to the $20/day for the last 2 months.  May get burned if ETN blows up but to me the possible upside is worth the minor risk of not mining $20 of XMR per day. Time will tell.

I switched everything back to xzc. Difficulty dropped a little and less heat is always good. I've heard good things about BTX, but it requires a private miner.

Apparently the miner is on google?
Risky to try it, but seems a few others think it's worth it.

It's worth it, but my farm is overseas. In the rare chance of a virus I can't re-install windows remotely. Hence sticking with the "safe play". In any case the profits should even out in a few days.

Flying back there over the new year to look into a larger warehouse for my rigs. My shoplot won't have capacity for 2018 expansion. It can do 35KW, but it's really hot inside even with just 20KW of gear running. Gonna find warehouse where I can install huge fans like these: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/2017-Industrial-Factory-Greenhouse-Ventilation-Exhaust_60642887821.html

My group has about 496 x Asics at Cryptoboreas and Great North Data, both in Canada.

However... this place in Japan is closer to home. I like this idea...

http://www.ibtimes.com/japanese-city-offers-bitcoin-miners-eco-friendly-deal-2612200

The Japanese city of Kazuno is inviting bitcoin companies, including Tokyo-based Miner Garage Co. Ltd., to use local renewable energy sources such as geothermal, hydroelectric and wind power. This sparsely populated mountain town is best known for its hot springs and geothermal energy plants. Now it hopes to combine this electricity source with its chilly climate to offer a sustainable solution for cryptocurrency mining. Renewable energy sources will power mining machines while the snowy climate naturally cools equipment.

Yeah, I did the paper wallet PDF thing and also another ETN address from Coinomi.... but after reading more on ETN, their crown jewels is the mobile wallet, mobile mining etc.... but dang the product is not even out yet. And yet mining has started? Something is amiss here.
