At this point I may cash everything.

Not much coin left to cash been cashing in every day since we got over 8000.

My stash of coins have been depleting as well as I've been cashing in a lot.  Taxes are really going to hurt this year but what can you do. 

Also just want to remind people that if you use nicehash they only charge 2% if you mine to a nicehash address and then 0.0003 or 0.2% to withdraw it.  You can see their fees here:

between  btc and bcc  maybe 20k

and I purchased 5 s-9s  so 8k more so 28k total this month  give or take a k.

I saw the market in the 90's  some of my friends had millions.

I begged them to cash  ¼ and buy 30 US bonds giving 8% interest.   they would still be getting 80 k on every million in bonds they purchased

on guy  the banker   peaked at 39 million in 2000   I could not convince to buy any 30 year bonds.

So maybe I can convince you to sell  some of you coins at 10,500 plus

Even if it is 1% a day for the next 5 days.

yeah im selling a bit. i had hoped to wait till the new year as then we will have a nice federal tax credit for that year because we will have a 6 kw (maybe 12, we are debating) solar system put in and it will offset offset the taxes from selling any decent amount of coin. but this price is too good to pass up cashing in a bit.

One of the most correct action, this market is so violate we should all take profits. If BTC climbs higher, it is good but what if it drops %50-60 and stays there some time?

I cashed out slowly at 6K,7K,8K,9K , if BTC hits 20K I do not care, made my nice profit already.

Hi all. Are you able to run the Onda D1800 with nvOC? Or are you all on windows10?

To run nvoc properly, I think I need to disable the IGD.

I tried to disable the IGD in the bios.
I installed a pcie gpu(gtx1060) on pcie1 slot.
I connected a monitor to the gpu on pcie1.
I powered on, no display on the monitor.
I connected a monitor to the builtin vga on the board, no display on the monitor.

Am I doing something wrong? Help???

I'm running the Onda D8P with nvOC with no issues.  I got 1070Ti's in GPU slots 0 and 2, and 1060's in slots 3-7.



I have monitor connected to GPU in slot 0.  I don't believe I changed any of the defaults in the BIOS.  It just worked.



I installed nvOC onto a little $20 Msata SSD.

1. Most BIOS defaults at GPU0 for monitor (PCI slot closest to CPU)
2. To use ONDA onboard mobo graphics - you actually need to change BIOS
3. In use smOS or nvOC, no changes required in BIOS to get mining running.
4. Plug monitor at GPU0, save BIOS and let it run.
5. logically Win10 will probably same as above.

Been using Crucial since my first rig in 2015 - so far no issues with this brand as far as RAMs are concerned.

Anybody noticed that RAMs are more expensive nowadays?

Lately with this China motherboards that uses notebook style memory, my supplier's recommendation on ADATA and RAMAXEL, quite spot on - no issues so far.

Since we are in this topic, best USB stick for me is Sandisk USB 3.0 Cruzer series, works very well in smOS, nvOC and also not too shabby with running virtual Windows images like Win2Go.

Canaan sent me an email about the new A8 series... so will save funds for that.

Many good ones.

Samsung makes the best. My opinion based on using hundreds no thousands of ram sticks building pcS.

Every year ram prices go up in fall.

I used to get 4gb for 25
8gb for 50
16gb for 95

I had a deal 2016 sept Labor Day 2 16gb sticks of ram laptop 128 dollars.

I went back to order more less then 1 hour later gone I think the seller made a mistake .

I am not LLC'd into a mining company (however I have been kicking the idea around lately for better write offs and depreciation of equipment).

Taxes  are tough,  but  I have had a small schedule c  side business since 2005.

I started this year  with  10,000 in gear/inventory.

Since I do a lot of sales  I can defer my income by having greater inventory.

I now am up to 45,000 in inventory  for this year  vs 10,000  So   that  35,000 defers  to 2018 tax year.

But before anyone does this  I have an established ebay business and have sold on this site for years.

So my tax model  will not work for a lot of people.

Next  year  If I sell off most of the gear I will take the tax hit.
