Hello guys,

This is my first time building a 12 GPU, windows 10 can not install driver for the 11th card, and claymore can not start either. Is it possible to use 12 GPU to mine on windows 10 or we have to switch to Linux or ETHOS. I have tried to set up a mining rig with 2 GPU and all i can see is blackscreen.

Can you guys give me an advice, I'm really stuck in here.

Thank you.

From everything I have heard, Windows cannot handle more than 8 cards using the same driver. For example, 8 AMD and 4 NVIDIA cards should work, but 10 of the same card I don't think will work on Windows.

However, EthOS, linux, SimpleMiningOS etc. have been reported to work with 12 cards.

All of them are 12 NVIDIA Google P106, I have tried EthOs but black screen all the time

Do you mean that you can have 10 x p106 to work in Windows 10 without an issue? This is weird because windows driver should support maximum 8 cards in the same type only. Maybe the clue is on your setup, please tell us more details on your settings, nvidia driver version, etc?

There is an 8 card limit in Windows , so Biostar advertising the Biostar TB250 BTC-PRO mobo with 6 AMD and 6 nVidia cards under windows. The 8 card limit is beacause the drivers.
The reason they advertise 6 AMD and 6 nVidia, is that they use different drivers. So you can run 12 cards in Windows if you have 8 or less of each kind.
