From windfall to altcoin: Help me pick one altcoin each week

Yesterday I received a small windfall ($155). This continues weekly for the foreseeable future. I want to use twenty percent of my bitcoin to start an altcoin portfolio.

Every week I want to buy a new altcoin. Help me choose an altcoin, where to buy it, and how to store it.

I am going to use dollar cost averaging, I buy the altcoins in 2 to 6 parts. If an altcoin reaches x2 I sell 10%, x5 I sell 15%, x10 I sell 20%.

My portfolio:

I'm a Bitcoin believer. But something that I've learned is to have some alts saved for the long run, but I know enough of Bitcoin's potential to have more than eighty percent of my portfolio on it.

Local rule: do not 'recommend' the altcoin you advertise in your signature.

I am in doubt between Litecoin, WAVES and Doge. Two of the classic old altcoins, or a new platform.
Help me choose an altcoin and invest $31 this week.

I would suggest you to check out UBIQ which is an advanced version of Ethereum. It's at a Good price today.
Aragon: This coin is good for long term.
If you give me choice among waves, litecoin and doge then I would pick Waves at first and litecoin next.

I want to test community ideas for my play money, and this limits my research to just a few.

I would suggest you to check out UBIQ which is an advanced version of Ethereum. It's at a Good price today.

Ubiq is up 100x this year already. I think it is risky to jump the train now.

Aragon: This coin is good for long term.

Aragon has a nice price development without sharp jumps up.

Waves and Litecoin are both going up now. I can get one this week and the other one next week.

The first thing I’d recommend is to not rely only on random people from the internet when it comes to making investments. Otherwise I’d recommend starting out with some “safe” investments like: LTC, ETH, DASH, XMR, or ETC.

Once you’ve diversified then with a few “safer” investments then I’d recommend:
CLOAK (due for a pump)
PosW (risky, but will probably either go very low or hit a big pump soon)
Golem & Waves (both seem to have a good looking future, but no guarantees)
PeerCoin (seems stable)
