It's sad how accurate this probably is.

PPC came up with any entirely new system of reward, combating BTC security issues, and reducing energy consumption, besides being the 4th largest on the market.  I personally think it should be right up there with LTC.

Stores accepting a currency has nothing to do with the currency's true value.  I can't walk into Walmart and use gold or stocks to buy anything.  Wide-spread trade acceptance for merchandise means nothing to value.  If an online store actual accepts FTC I'd say it's stupid for it to accept counterfeit money just because there's a lot of counterfeits floating around.

No. Market cap value analysis is enough to show that even newcomers like Feathercoin are outfavored by PPC.

1. Largest trading volume ever in one day, was 7.5BTC - this is laughable edit: (apparently it's nearer 1000btc/day now)
2. PPC has very little if any news coverage as opposed to more than 65,000 articles for bitcoin
3. While the technology is innovative, it is fundamentally flawed in that 51% attacks can be performed by anyone with a decent volume of coins, and nobody can predict who/when they will occur.
4. The biggest exchanges aren't even thinking about using PPC (unlike LTC for example)
5. Nobody is really accepting either sales or donations in PPC (again unlike LTC)

 but you have LTC tattooed on your nick, so perhaps you want to believe LTC is different from BTC and won't suffer if Proof of Work seizes up.

PPCoin not major, but the General!
Fast, easy, more than LightCoin, with lower charges for the transaction itself is cheap and plentiful. With the inflationary model. This is a promising currency of the future!

Heh, coming from LiteCoinGuy, I guess there _might_ be some bias there.. Okay, I'll address your points.

2. True, but PPCoin is less than a year old and nobody's hyping it up, so there's no news
3. Completely wrong. Anybody who holds 51% of PPCoins will do exact opposite of attacking the network, since the attacker loses the most.
4. Wrong, there's a few exchanges that have either added PPCoin or are about to add it
5. reddit.com/r/ALTcointip allows tipping in PPCoins, but yes, there needs to be more merchant acceptance. But guess what? First place to accept Litecoin (Atlantis) is just under 2 months old. And Litecoin has been around for much longer.
