Yes, you can use the windows wallet on a VPS for staking... but it is better to keep your coins on a local machine...

ALWAYS, install the wallet... then encrypt it... then backup the .dat file... and keep AT LEAST 2 COPIES not on your hard drive... like upload one to google drive, or any other online storage area... and put the other on an external memory stick... then you can restore your wallet anywhere... any time... any place... as long as you have access to at least one of those two external backups... make more than 2 if you like... but the very minimum 2 external ones...

Do exactly the same if you are running on a VPS... Then you'll never have a problem...   (y)

Get your facts right first and stop being a SHILL mate!!!

Here was my reply earlier if you ever even bothered to actually read it  -

Common! So in one day some guys swapped 6B coins? Bullshit!  (YES, it is bullshit as you just made it up mate!!  lol)

Is that true? Is the 6B figure correct??

If you re-read the original post it says -

That means about 1.6B were not swapped.
5% of unswapped coins are going to a dev-fund for marketing and bigger exchanges -- 80M coins
That leaves 1.52B coins to be burned and an initial total supply of only 10.48B coins

Amazing how things get misread/changed...  (BY SHILLS LOL)

Thank you for the post Pete.

I am still worried that there will be a significant dip once it hits cryptopia, due to people taking advantage of ATH and a useful exchange to sell their coins. But your post is a good counter to the idea that the team themselves will be doing a mass dump when it hits the market.

Thank you for clearing the air there.

My pleasure and getting onto Cryptopia is a really major accomplishment as it moves COLX up into a whole different league and gives it much easier access to a lot of much bigger traders... That's when we'll start to see even bigger growth... hence my earlier prediction of $1 in the not too distant future...

I received your PM and sent you my facebook - https://www.facebook.com/peter.aldred - easiest to chat on messenger on there...    (y)

This is probably a dumb question, and maybe its not one of us would have an answer to here, but

- Do you think someone could find out a rough estimate of how much their amount of COLX would earn through staking, by what % their amount of COLX is of a masternode? (for example if someone has 1million coins, that is 10 percent of a masternode, then just apply that to 10% of the stats on that link?

sorry for these questions and thanks for all your insight in this thread.

It's the very latest POS3.0 and has a fixed reward value which is currently 1,425.6 COLX per reward... and that's what makes up the daily income listed above... (and again below)

Daily income
$74.4392
0.00517110 BTC
12312.1387 COLX

So simply divide 12,312.1387 by 1,425.6 and that gives you approximately 8.636460928731762 rewards per day...

24 hours divided by 8.636460928731762 = one reward approximately every 2.77891606273084 hours...   Smiley   (y)

Based on those current stats... but they keep altering all the time so it's easiest just to look on here - https://masternodes.online/currencies/COLX/

Sorry, I didn't see the image as it wasn't showing till I clicked the link...

Try C:\Users\your-path-to-colx-you-deleted-on-the-image\ColX\colx-qt.exe -forcestart

In windows 10 on the bottom left where it says 'Type to search' enter:  cmd

That will then pop-up a black command prompt box terminal window... and enter the the full path to your colx-qt.exe file    with  -forcestart  on the end... and say 'Yes' if it asks you if you wish to rebuild the database...

[To find the full path to your colx-qt.exe file simply right click on the icon for it and select 'properties' and it is listed there under 'Target'  ...so you can copy it from there and then add: -forcestart on the end]

See if that resolves the issue...?

Sorry for 2 daft questions guys:

a) Setting up the wallet, in the unpacked zip folder - what's the difference between colxd.exe, colx-cli.exe  and colx-qt.exe ?

b) if running colx-qt.exe it states "no block source available" - I allowed it through the firewall, so what could be wrong there?

Thanks

Thanks Pete; well actually the folder is "ColossusCoinXT_Windows_1.0.1_64 bit" so there shouldn't be a Linux executable?

Can you or someone in here advise which of the three (colxd.exe, colx-cli.exe  or colx-qt.exe) to use on Win64bit ?
