I have a question - just mined 1040 coins, but I'm Echelon 3. Will I be able to keep any coins above the current 1000 coin cap?

Otherwise the mining is going very good, reached this amount in around 2 weeks mining in 2 browser tabs 24-7 while still running my normal CPU, GPU miners and 4 storj nodes. No issues whatsoever!

Hello mihej, glad to hear mining has been going smoothly!

So you probably have only mined 940 coins. And the additional 100 was from the Airdrop. So you'll hit the cap at 1100. (And yes, you'll get to keep all of those coins!)

What an awesome sounding project. I've got 3 options. They're not the fanciest, but I'd love to try this out.

PC:
cpu: core i5-650, dual core 3.2ghz
gpu: evga gt 730 2gb
ram: 8gb ddr3
OS: windows 10 (Primary) / Ubuntu
Browser: Chrome/explorer (Windows) / Firefox (Ubuntu)

Thanks!

Unfortunately Laznit, your iPhone 5 will not work for mining. However, your other computers both look good to go!

I would like to take part in this I find it very interesting. I want to see how the mining app works and how much different devices mine.

I have 6 devices.

Gaming pc with rx480 gpu
Older pc with core2dou cpu and onboard gpu
Laptop with i5 cpu and 520m gpu
10inch tablet 1.6ghz quad core
7inch tabler 1.3ghz dual core
Mi note 2

Please let me know what I need to do next. I can give a full specs listen later on as well.

Thank you.

Hi Lauren Smith, your hardware looks mostly good. Are your tablets iPads, and if so what models? Also please post back what OS and browsers you have for your computers. Thanks for signing up!

Hi bossydragon! Once we approve your config, then you are in our queue for new Alpha Miners. We will then activate you as debugging allows.

Please see our Telegram channel: https://t.me/joinchat/GahFuELlfJoWE1vsFQf3VQ. All of the info about being enabled for mining is there. (Just click on the FAQs at the top of Telegram, once you arrive.)

Mining in your browser?

I will readup on the specs the moment I get time. Not a new idea but does seem like a nice project.

BTW - how does one mine with GPU?

#crysx

Sooo ...

No information about GPU mining?

#crysx

For me it looked like you want to know how to mine with gpu. For me ut used gpu automaticly with the browser mining Smiley it does consume a decent amount of ram aswell, much less now than the beginning of alpha though. They are making it better step by step. Dont see asic having much chance on this aswell, but im not a tech guru.

That is what I was asking - yes Smiley

Though as explained in my response above, no browser is present as there is no GUI installed.

We can work on a GPU miner implementation, but we need to know what Algorithm this mining system uses, and what the specs are.

#crysx

That's correct: in the current implementation, mining does require an open browser window. So a no-GUI rig would not be able to mine, as things stand now. But we are only in early Alpha. As the project progresses, we will release additional algo info / support to enable GPU mining development without a browser.

Well,

This is why I suggested we chat about the specs of the project, as we have the facilities to a possible development of our own.

I suppose missing out on the Alpha that has the ability to maintain and keep the coins created means that not every one has an equal share of it.

All good, seems like a reasonably good project. Patience is all part of it Smiley

Hi moodusman, thanks for searching a bit first!  Sometimes the BCT search function misses things. But yes, we did respond to you on post #3514 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2142232.msg29398336#msg29398336).
