I think we could reach the $5000 sometime this month. And then in november, well need to wait what's going to happen. However I believe B2x is going to be a big nothingburger. Garzik will probably fork off and make some money out of his shitty altcoin. But in no way he will be able to steal the brand. Furthermore there is another hardfork happening, Bgold/Bitcoin gold, shortly before B2x. This could steal even more attention from B2X. So I'm not worried in the slightest. The price may go down some percentages due to spread fud, but we will overcome this pretty quick I believe. So at the end of this year Bitcoin will have seen 3 fork offs and the price will all in all have increased significantly. So reason to be afraid of forks anymore who may try to steal the brand or take away some attention. Bitcoin is getting stronger and stronger after each attack!!!

the bitcoin value in USD depends on two major factors :

1-the number of people using bitcoin.
2-security of funds and trust of people in bitcoin, and here I means if they accept to be paid in bitcoin or not.

As a result the value will not get down at least for those years !

Those November events will be more than enough triggers to make bitcoin prices to reach $10k levels and I am very much sure from this September to end of October, prices may reach up to $7000 levels.

It means we can expect at least $1000 movement in September and October and then $1500 movements in November and December so that bitcoin prices will be comfortably testing $10,000 levels by end of this year. Prices are almost peaked near $5000 which is enough supporting factor for reaching $10,000.

10k until end of the year is a bit too optimistic imho. There will be a few corrections up to its way to 10k. Currently we see a small one and it does not look like it's finished yet.

I think we will need some time to break that level because the same mechanisms that activated the correction today will do the same next time.

Very, very predictable stuff. If i was a trader and not a hardcore hodler as I am, I would have sold at $4900 ish, because I knew that the psychological factor of a panic sell was too strong, specially at $5000. Realize that, after we cross $5000, we will be nearer $10000 than $0. Once we cross $5000, for that reason, I predict an easy uptrend to $7500, with a final massive bull run to $10000+ if we can get rid of Jeff Garzik and his segwit2x abomination.

This time bitcoin faced a little decline. But it will always possible for the bitcoin to reach over 5k at the end of 2018. Remember the segwit hype and after the fork already happened and the bitcoin increase over $4400 and just wondering what will be happening after the segwit 2x update.

Ido the same with dasana212. That bitcoin will reach $5000 sooner or later. The highest price is about 4600 , it almost touch 5000. One or two weeks later I am optimistic bitcoin will reach 5000. People still buy bitcoin and continue to buy. After Segwit , the price is increasing slowly. Bitcoin touch 1900 before Aug 1. The hardfork of chain that cause new coin BCH make the price dumped. After August one the price come back to 2500 above. What happened after segwit activation about the ends of august, the price dump to 4500 above almost touch 5000. The change is in one month period. How about next month period? Will be 5000 - 6000 I guess.

Yes. Bitcoin remain strong after August 1st, I think bitcoin price still increase. $5000 is near and I don't see any factor make bitcoin price going down to deep.

If you keep checking and following few veteran members, you can easily predict future prices. I also had wondered many times how these people are making such predictions more accurately.

The next four months are enough time to bitcoin prices to double. It has already done similar growth in 2013 and hence we can expect same rally this year also. Moreover the adoption rates are very big when compared to what we had in 2013, so in three months itself also we may see prices reaching those magic $10k levels.
