Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

There is some credit card that support Waves ?
If I remember right, they have it in mind. Maybe some day. Let's hope they at least investigate possibilities.

A lot of discussion and rumors about WavesNG is going on here and on reddit. It is sad that technical aspects are not covered much. I would like to know what implications NG has on the blockchain network. I assume the blockchain will be bloated with such an amount of transactions. Are there any strategies planned to avoid a bloated chain, like pruning?

I think reading the Bitcoin-NG whitepaper will shed a light on how it works. http://hackingdistributed.com/2015/10/14/bitcoin-ngWaves-NG (= Bitcoin-NG) is designed not to get bloated at all.

Question. How closely connected is Waves with Tidex?
I am not sure how close but they are connected in some way. I am pretty sure Tidex is also operated by a Russian team. I've used the exchange many times without any issues. They just need to have more trading volume for coins other than Waves and the exchange will take off.

The new DEX looks astonishing! Looking forward to using it. Will there also be placeholder assets involved like on Openledger DEX (OPEN.BTC) or will all assets be real assets?
All Non-WAVES assets are placeholder assets (wBTC, wETH, etc.). Ok and is there any chance to change that in the future? So that we have a real decentralized exchange trading with any kind of real asset? It already exists. It's just not extremely functional, which is what the NG beta is going to (hopefully) address. I am looking forward to the day where we have fully decentralized exchange with good trading speed. It would remove massive 3rd party risk from the crypto trading market.

Source: http://wavescommunity.com/waves-client-public-beta After many months of hard work, we are extremely proud to be able to offer the community a comprehensive blockchain platform with the kind of clean, user-friendly interface you’d expect to find in any mainstream online banking or trading application. The Client is now in Closed Beta and we’re updating it with a brand new DEX tomorrow, November 29th.
To celebrate this milestone and present Waves Client 1.0 to media, partners and blockchain community, Waves Platform is hosting a special Launch Event in Amsterdam on December 13th – the day Waves Client 1.0 Public Beta is starting.
The Waves Team will demonstrate the main features of the new release personally to each participant of the event. The number of guests is limited, but we still have slots for Waves Community. If you believe that you should be there, please fill in this application form for a chance of getting an invitation.

So the client is still in closed Beta. Does this mean we no longer have access to the funds in the lite client ? I just loaded it up on a new computer and it is not showing any balances yet when I go to Waves Explorer the balances do show
