What the hell is happening here, where all these trolls did come from?  Guys seriously, I know account farming seems to be a good idea to spread some imaginary FUD over the forum, but it is against the rules and hopefully you get a nice ban for this.  Take care.

While I concede the last few posts I've placed here have been critical, it is (I believe) for good reason. Watching Waves slip down from #18 coin to #34, even as they implement the NG upgrade and more polished DEX, is concerning.
Considering the massive surge in altcoin market cap this last few months (hundreds of billions of dollars) Waves has received barely none of it.
Now Bitcoin will likely surge and money flow away from the alts, where will that leave Waves?

I still hold over 30k Waves and am genuinely concerned about the marketing strategy, the lack of interest in the overall crypto community, and the fact that barely any exchanges bother to even trade in Waves. Is pointing this out "imaginary FUD", or perhaps a fair and constructive criticism?  Undecided

We reached a point where people care less for efficiency and more for small prices and speculation, we always had speculation before, but now we have a giant influx of newbies who wan't to buy coins on cents and wait it to reach $100, and on my opinion, the strongest point of waves was the easy access to coins to newcomers, but I just saw how IDnow is inneficient and the new DEX is complicated, but with bittrex and binance not accepting new accounts, they have a chance, but I doubt they will take that opportunity.

Waves ranked #32

Poor marketing, some members believers of turtle and haze fantasy LOL.
WTF are they thinking about?HuhHuh

All this is 100% BS.

Sad to see such a brilliant company headed by an advertising-autist genius.
Time for Ivanov to resign

There doesn't seem to be much love to Waves in your post history.

I am invested in waves since the ICO.
Love  is not in my mind when i am talking bout money.

Sasha is good technically but has to be replaced as CEO buy a real entrepreneur, a guy who can mix technics and marketing.
Sasha is an autist marketingly speaking.

He must leave for the sake of waves : he is destroying our baby with his lack of knowledge.

I am here as investor, greed is good and  i need a good ROI and i don't care especially about waves, onlyt 4 my bucks

When I saw this writing bitcoin-isnt-a-currency-its-a-commodityprice in WSJ, thought if BTC failed to play its role as a crypto currency, which coin could play this rule?

1-Ripple? (it is not decentralize)
2-Ethr? (not a currency, it is fuel)
3-A token on Ethereum? (looks better, but you need eth to transfer, and Ethereum is not the fastest chain, and many other issues ....)
4-Dash, ARK, ... (Good, but they need time and more distribution)
5-A bitcoin fork (Maybe, But if original one have failed, how a copy could win?)

Oh wait a minute, Why not WBTC?

PROS
a- Decentralize
b- Backed by first real crypto asset (BTC)
c- Fast
d- Low fee (could be Waves independent)
e- Already implemented
f- Well distributed (All BTC holders could claim it)
g- Already have implemented DEX

CONS
a- BTC holder lost his rights on original blockchain (e.g. when it forks).

I think exchanges could investigate adding WBTC deposit option for BTC.
Cheers
What do you think about this? Is it possible?
This could help exchanges, Waves, traders and BTC blockchain (by unloading small transactions).

Wise words. I know a few guys that look just at the price and buy if its below 1$. They think it goes up to 100$ within a week.
Waves is still a good project and they need time to develop their project. Marketing could be better though.

Ouch, the current position of Waves on coinmarketcap is an assault on my eyeballs. Not selling though as the tech + roadmap is promising, but promotion and exposure is still seriously lacking. Lets hope this dive turns out te be another oppertunity to scoop up some Waves relatively cheap.

What do you talk about? If you here since ICO you may thank sasha for the huge gains where he has an inportant role in.

From  ~$0.16 to over $10 dollars. What do you want more?

I am also in since ICO and managed to react great on the market. Instead of complaining people can dump and go in another falling altcoin (yeah the whole altmarket is going down against btc pairings, open your eyes it's really true).

The price is going a little bit down now.
Everybody is in panic. Do you guys don't realize where in the disbelief phase in the altcoinsphere.

Don't complain but just BTFD

Repeat BTFD

I fully agree, we should not complain of full belly, we should study and monitor, the time to buy is now, Waves $ 100 second half 2018. Waves will make up for our waiting and we can believe that.

Everyone has noticed that there is a lack of marketing. 2018 should be the year of Waves! I hope that the team will consider an increase in the marketing budget. But the most important thing remains to complete what is foreseen for Q1

Any plans to have the waves secured through an integration of the wallet with the Nano Ledger S ? That would be cool.

There should be support by Trezor in a few months.

Why go for Trezor? Most people I talk to prefer Ledger Nano S and Blue. I think Waves should support Ledger first and Trezor later. It is important to go with what the market wants and not necessarily with want the dev team wants. That is how to improve one's CMC position.

is Waves DEX not working right now again?

The last 24 hours was a stressful situation for DEX. Things were down and an the gateway also did not process. It looks like both gateway deposits and withdrawals work now. Personally Ill let things wait for another 24 hours to be sure before I use DEX.

Is anyone here frustrated waves isn't showing much progress at all?  Lot of altcoins go up a lot and waves isn't doing anything it seems.

The nice thing about Waves is the price fluctuations within a relative stable band 65-90k. It is very predictable and you dont need to worry about going to sleep @75k and waking up to 300k. It is a no-brainer. You need coins that are stable and predictable. If nothing happens with development then I am happy if it just carries on in the current pattern. If something does happen and the band moves to lets ay 100-150k then that is also fine and one can adjust.

The other thing that I like is the rudimentary-ness of DEX. It has its advantages although at the cost of yesterdays mess but the advantages outweighs the negatives.
