It will be easy for them to do this when smart contract will be available already. There really is the need to move up again to gain trust from recent investors who quits upon seeing the dropping value. I'm a long term investor of waves and have seen then back when the price  was yet less than $0.50. Of course I have all the profit to take but I'd rather wait for this project to dominate like ETH.

I am slightly having the same sensation. Last summer waves was looking like the next really big thing - but it is kind of not keeping up with the expectations while other projects are advancing.

they achieve every deadline fixed last year. it's true that regarding third party  implantation they are loosing but they decided at the beginning to develope smart contract once everything was ready and that's what they have done. It's true that price evolution was not like i expected it regarding other project. but they have big partnership and a more reliable legal framework.
I still think price will go crazy once smart contract and money from third party ICO will flow in.

If Sasha Ivanov states that the Waves platform is still holding close to 21,000 BTC alone, apart from the value of the Waves, coins from BTC hardforks and other coins and tokens, I see no reason not to believe him.

This is what I am thinking . Money don't matter to Waves core developers . Marketing should be a breeze to them . What matters to them is their product enhancement thru research and development. But TIMING is really what a good strategy for Waves. Now we have a bear market on crypto , maybe waves will let the market decide then boom there goes the rocket.
