I have been asked to join a group that does specialized real estate and is expanding fast with profits and looking at an ICO, is this a waste of my time or might there be interest? Paying about 20-30% dividend. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Hi,

there are currently a lot of projects which combine the real estate market and the cryptocurrency market.

A short but quick comparison can be found in the pic bellow:

Search for the different projects here in this forum. Normaly every project has an announcement on bitcointalk.

20-30% dividend from real estate trading?I won`t trust such project. You should perform more research and be carefull with this.Cryptocurrenices are still far away from the real estate business because real estates are more regulated and require fiat money to pay different taxes and fees.
By the way, where are you from?

I have a real estate background and 20-30% is hard to guarantee particularly if the model is buying to then rent out, average rental yields in the UK are below 10%.  For larger scale development projects that return is feasible but your money will be tied up for longer - so not sure how they are guaranteeing it - that would be worth checking.

I've seen a few interesting property projects though within the crypto space so there's a few good ideas out there.

Good luck!

It does seem quite high, the one I am currently looking at (as you can see from my signature) were talking in their AMA about possibly 10 - 15%

That seems more reasonable - also the use of the word "possibly" is more accurate, as nothing with real estate is ever guaranteed.  Would be happy to take a look at the project if you want to dm me any links I can advise on most real estate in the UK and US if that helps.

We are launching our own project (not in real estate!) but I would be happy to take a look at any figures, just let me know

Yes of course, Cryptocurrency is money and all money and real estate can go together.
Regarding the ICO I would say, it depends on the promoters and the key persons behind along with their expertise and previous experience or successful projects, to predict it will be a profitable venture or not. But the dividend part is little suspicious as it appears they are too keen on getting investments and if there is no proper roadmap on how the dividends will come from, it's better to stay away.

With a good and fair loan system a blockchain project can conquer real estate business.

Real estate seems to be the latest industry to hop onto the ICO train. I would be extremely careful with these, though. As far as I could research, in the real world, only the UK and US have started accepting regulatory compliant Bitcoin payment for real estate - and these are very recent deals for purchases, not yet rentals.

Anything else seems to be at proposal stage, with none of the ICO teams able to provide a transparent track record to back up their extremely high claims of projected return (yes, even 10% is high). They may have good developers on their teams, but actual realtors? Hard to tell. As a poster points out, the average returns for even the booming UK market is below 10%. Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, where the markets are already so heated, many areas are also falling in annual returns.

20-30% profit from real estate business is non realistic. However ,one  can expect a profit of 5-10% and yes both Cryptocurrency and Real Estate can go together.

Can someone describe what exactly real estate businesses are using cryptocurrency for?

Setting up group investments for a piece of land or house/aparment?

Definitely yes.. It is true and it can be possible because there are new opportunities thats leading everyday life to crypto currencies and that is safe also from peoples. Both parties can settle in between them.. no banks no extra taxes.. no risks..and your money may increase alse if cryptocurrency increases.

In real world, no. There are currently lots of success real estate investment.

In collaboration of cryptocurrency, maybe I will agree that few will survive but who knows. That's why as far as looking at some of the ICO's with relation to real estate today let's see if one of them will achieved a success run for long term.

20-30% is a bit high, usually in rapid development and densely populated areas of real estate development with broad prospects. But it is vulnerable to policy.

I do not consider such projects promising and worthy of our attention and money. This is not an area where crypto-currencies can succeed, so look for alternatives.

I know 2 altcoins about real estate, Atlant and Realty. But I have not seen any improvement in both projects. Atlant is a better project, but there is no progress on Realty and they have not distributed bounty awards either Smiley

I've been watching crypto and ICOs for about 4 months only, so I may not notice some drawbacks. But generally the idea of asset-backed tokens as in real estate sounds good to me.

You will be deceived. The real estate market cannot bring such dividends. In order to do all of those dividends you need to provoke and win world war 3. You're ready. The property is not in great demand. I know a lot of places where houses and apartments are abandoned because nobody buys them. Stay away from those offers.
