I accidentally sent 0.008 BTC with 0.00005 BTC fee.
Transactions ID:
9c980007fccca524d34ea1e41895ca9ea9cc9314ce62051f7e5b3f54014d0f3f

I read somewhere, that transaction would cancel automaticly, after 72h when the fee is to low. But I believe, that BTC is lost, when I don't do anything.
Has someone a guide for nontechy, how to pay additional fee or how to ccancel an unconfirmed transaction? Many thanks.

It's possible but might be difficult if your a "nontechy".
- If you're using the official Bitcoin client you can right click the transaction and choose Abandon Transaction. It's probably greyed out, in that case remove mempool.dat from the Bitcoin user directory and restart with -walletbroadcast=0
- Electrum has an option to send an additional fee I think.

Use this accelerator: https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
Make sure it's done as close to the hour as you can, otherwise they fill up fairly quickly.

You can also contact macbook-air or quickseller to get this confirmed for you - but they'll charge and the tx accelerator is free!

Do it on the hour. That's when the next set of submissions opens.
They only allow 100 submissions every hour unless you're a customer there.

Yes, normally within the first five you can get it in.
Then you just have to wait for them to mine block.

I don’t think it would be cancelled. All that can happen is that when it has stayed for long on the network and the transaction fee seems to low to get it confirmed then you can get your bitcoin back in your wallet after some time.

I don’t know if it will get confirmed though there are very low chances of it being confirmed, why not try
accelerate it by adding more money to the original transaction fee that you used for the transaction, it helps sometimes.

The transaction already has 1000+ confirmations.

It's very interesting to see that viabtc didn't work here. There must be some delay when they get a tx before they include it. (Thus was according to block chain.info who say slush mined it instead).

In the current state, there are not many transactions in the mempool, there is no spam, and we have segwit, which means that it's very unlikely that transactions get stuck, even with low fees.

Yeah from the past two days transactions are locked and waiting to get confirmations in all the network pools now.

Good news is all wallet providers reduced their default transaction fees has been reduced 0.00025 btc. If confirmation takes long time means please utilize any transaction accelerator to get the confirmation faster.

A transaction processed couldnt be failed for low fee issues bro. You can have only problem in low fee is late confirmations of your transaction that could take a day or two might be but it couldnt be lost or scam if you entered the right address. So just wait for that.
