Hi.

Using 6 x Zotac NVidia 1070 mini cards. Also using cyclenerds eth mining image and Ethminer. Would like to know if my overclock settings are too high?

Power Limit: 136w
Graphics clock offset: tried 50, 100, and 150 (does this actually matter?)
GPU Memory Transfer Rate: 1200
Fan: 80%

I am getting temps: 55-63
Clocks current video (MHz):1582-1600MHz
Clocks current memory: 4404mhz

Are those all safe figures to be working with?

Getting 188MH/s across the 6 cards

Let me know

Thanks

Hello There,

Mining eth I haven't got any gain overclocking the core, at least with my cards, but I can see that you are keeping stocks speed, and your temps are good!

If you are getting those numbers are more than correct. The most I've got was 183 MH/s with a bunch of different MSI, EVGA, and Palit Cards pushing the memory of them up to + 4500 Mhz.

Seems they are more than OK to me, especially being Mini cards.

You have 188 MH/s with 6 nVidia 1070, then 31,33 MH/s per 1070.
Your power limit is at 136 W, then 4,34 W/MHs

Yours settings are not bad, but there are not optimum.
With the nVidia 1070, tou can set @100W fo 26 MH/S, then 3,84 W/MHs... and your cards are a lot less used.

As long as the temps aren't too high and the rig is stable you are fine.  Each setup will have slightly different settings so it's possible those same settings on my rigs would be unstable.  The real test is whether or not your mining software or computer crashes.

I forgot to write : the fans.

With a 80% fan setting, I thinh you RIG is very noisy.
With the 100 W setup, you'will setup you fan at 50%, even a little lower.
And your RIG will become very quiet.

If the noise is not a problem for you, money and the least wear are still 2 good items for everybody.

It seems very stable on 2 out of my three rigs.

All our brand new, exactly the same hardware across the board! (RAM, Motherboard, Power Supply, Graphics Cards, Riser Cards).

But on one system the miner does seem to hang every now and then and i can't figure out for the life of me why! I guess i will have to lower the clock settings, but i really cant see why! Also, hate not having any definitives as to why Ethminer is crashing. No log or details.

If i set my fans at 50%, my temps start going to above 80, so i am going to leave them at 80%.  They aren't noisy, and noise isn't a huge issue for me.

Wanted to make sure i understood this correctly.

Are you saying i can see my power to: 123-124W? (This being 6 X 3.84+100Watt?)?

Can you also let me know if the GPU Graphics Clock offset is at all relevant?  Should i just set this back to 0? Or leave it running 100 or 150?

Whilst i dont see any increase/decrease in MH's when lowering or increasing it, i wondered if the stability would be effected by running it lower or higher?

Thanks again for any advice.

No, I would said :
With each GPU setted at 100 W, your total power will be 600 W (and +/- 50 WW for mobo/RAM/CPU...), total 650 W,
At this setting, each GPU had a hashrate /- 26 MH/s, then for the 6 GPUs, your RIG will gave a 6 x 26 = 156 MHs.
At this setting the ratio Watt/MHs is better than yours.

I hear you, but with the potential of PoS coming soon, i want to mine as much of it as i can as quickly as possible. So think whilst power wise its not the optimum it does mine the MAX eth i can mine as quickly as possible.

Unless you disagree?
