Hello forum,

I am seeking some help here. For a long time now I have been unable to mine on my own p2pool node.

I have followed many guides and properly installed p2pool and all necessary software packages to run it, both on linux (Ubuntu) and Windows machines (2 different computers). p2pool runs fine, connects to my client and seems OK. I even left p2pool to download all the shares.

The issue comes when I try to connect a miner to my p2pool node. If I use the bitcoin protocol, p2pool.exe reports 0H/s local hash rate while my miner reports 7.5 MH/s. (Hash rate is low, I know...)

If I use litecoin, my hash rate (reported by the miner) is between 3-11 kH/s, however p2pool.exe reports something in the range of 150 H/s.

(Screenshot was taken shortly after miner was started, however I tested it for over 10 minutes and the hash rate didn't go further up. Hence it is not an issue of an averaged hash rate.)

Note:
  • in both cases I can make a connection to my p2pool node, but the reported speed is almost 100 times slower than what the miner reports in the case of LTC and the BTC protocol is simply not reporting any speed at all.
  • Another interesting fact is, if I connect an even slower CPU miner to my node, the speed shows up CORRECTLY both in the miner and p2pool.
  • I can also mine at any pool whether it is p2pool or any conventional BTC/LTC pool

Additionally, I used to get something like this (I think when I connected the miner):

I have been stuck with this issue for weeks and couldn't get any help from anywhere. Any ideas what might be causing this?
Help would be greatly appreciated!

Bump.

Any hints from anyone? I really wanted to mine on my own node on the p2pool, but I can't effectively mine on my own node.
