I'm currently displaying 'Woolong', a fictional currency from the Sci-Fi anime Cowboy Bebop, as an alias for mBTC on
http://btctip.com and am also promoting it as an alias on
http://woolong.com.
I am not featuring the term on btctip.com's landing page though, as I'm concerned that promoting unfamiliar terms for Bitcoin denominations too prominently could give an impression of the currency and the website being unserious. On the other hand, I think it could be good to try new things, as we'll never know if better terms, from a marketing point of view, exist for the various BTC denominations, unless we try them.
What do you think? Should unconventional aliases like Woolong be featured prominently as aliases for BTC denominations or is it confusing to newcomers?
