Okay first time I put money into an exchange I used Bitfloor and deposited money at Bank of America.  Thats gone.
Next used Dwolla to put money into MtGox, and now thats gone.
This last time I used Okpay to put money into BTC-e, and now thats going away, and I don't even understand why
Quote
Deposits of OKPAY will only be available until May 23, 2013, after that deposits will be unavailable within 2 months due to the suspension of work with OKPAY merchant working with bitcoin.

So whats left?

Is the US getting cut off, or are we going to constantly have to find new way to get our USD in exchanges?

Whats going on with Okpay?

Why is there so little activity on campbx?  They seem like they have plenty of funding options.  Has everyone lost faith in a US based exchange?

And why won't this list tag go away when I edit?[/list]

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

You can still use Dwolla via Bitinstant which will cost 2% of the transaction

And I forgot to mention coinbase.com. You need to link a bank account in order to buy/send through it

Yeah I already knew about coinbase, but they sell out all the time.  Not exactly what I was looking for.

There is also bitcoinary.com

I'm talking about exchanges like Gox, bitstamp, and btc-e

Still no idea whats going on with Okpay, and why there is so little activity at campbx?

I'm a Newbie hobby trading for last 3-4 weeks.

Since the Dwolla connection to MtGox was stopped, I've been using a US Bank -> Dwolla -> CampBX -> MtGox.   I've only transfered lower amounts (< $1K/day), but it transfers from Dwolla to CBX instantly (for me).  Then buy bitcoin on CampBX and then transfer bitcoin directly to MtGox (or other exchange), CBX will charge you the 0.0005 BTC miners transfer fee, but that $0.06 is very low.   Mt.Gox has been showing the bitcoin received and ready to trade in approx 1 hour.

I've been using http://bitcoinity.org/markets/campbx/USD to see the transactions / price.  My take is that although the overall volume is very low compared to MtGox, it seems you can purchase < 50 BTC easily and at a reasonable price relative to other exchanges.

Getting the USD back to a US Bank could be the reverse (send Bitcoin back to CBX, sell and USD back to Dwolla) this can be the lowest fees method.  Depending on Coinbase price, Coinbase is also an option back to US Bank through ACH system (although 4 business days delay sucks) plus 1% fee.  Tried this only once.  I sent a message to Coinbase asking that they add Dwolla instant transfer support, like CampBX.

I haven't done anything at higher USD$ amounts.  I am verified with MtGox.

Getting the USD back usually isn't the problem.  I think at Gox its only $20 USD for bank wire transfer.  Dwolla is great, and cheap, but does take a few days.  I'm giving campbx a shot.
