Introduced in this thread and this thread. I probably should have given it a little more time, but decided to take a gamble since I hadn't seen one of these sites offer $50 MPs before. Sent to the address given with this transaction. The transaction before that to the same address is by user bithanz, who purchased hours before me. Considering it's the very day the site "opened" and the site simply pockets the BTC, never confirms receiving it, doesn't respond to email asking what's up, and most importantly, doesn't send the MP, it looks like this one is a scam right out of the gate.

I do see that the posters in that thread are mostly noobs. The accused is a noob. I will now take the time to point out to any and all that sending first to a noob is a stupid thing to do. Even if that noob has a website. I am not saying that to cast aspersions on anyone, I'm certain none of you meant any harm but for the sake of the community PLEASE DO NOT SEND FIRST to a noob under ANY circumstances.

This site, suspected to be the same as the accused, has disturbing anti authority sentiment and poor use of English.
To be fair, without admin help we cannot even connect that this "Marc" is the accused. I do not want to spread any more FUD.
Phone not failing on re-order, now failing with message: Announcement 4 dash switch 8 5 (done).

Good spot, as far as I can see it is him or at least the same person who has set both sites up, he's used the same nameservers on both sites I have linked him too, which I suspect is a shared hosting account where you can simply use shared hosting by registering a domain and pointing the nameservers at ns1.x10hosting.com & ns1.x10hosting.com (looks like that is a free something or other).

It's seeming like this guy might actually be stupid enough to scam under his own name, but he could still be a victim of identity theft, I suppose.
Whoever is the scammer is pretty stupid, scamming for $50. Usually, even a scammer has the minimal IQ to come through on the early cheap orders before defaulting on a bigger one like a $500. Whoever this is is a low-rent thieving punk.

What the fuck is this bullshit? This site blatantly stole money from anyone who tried to buy a MoneyPak.
The scammer who started it never even responded to defend himself.
Does anyone even actually get a fucking scammer tag from this stupid fucking forum, or are they just allowed to scam and scam again?
Why the fuck does this guy not have a fucking scammer tag?

Oh, and remember that the forum admins are not the nannies here. There's simply so much scams everywhere that the scammer tag usually comes late. It's the same in the IRL - always caveat emptor.

It pisses me off less because of the relatively insignificant sums involved than that this asshole can just run scam after scam from the same nick. There's nothing whatsoever ambiguous about this. The guy just stole money and waltzed off with it and hasn't even bothered defending himself.

Scammer without scammer tag, scam threads still open.
Let this be an example. The scammer tag idea is BULLSHIT. Scammers are allowed to scam uninterrupted, when there's nothing ambiguous whatsoever about what they're doing.
This guy is just a pure thief, and the admins do DIDDLY FUCKING SQUAT.

I agree 100%. The currency trading area, an area where scammers seem to multiply, needs more people actively managing scammer requests. The accused scammer in this thread, and a dozen others like oldsport, are never held to account for their ACTUAL crimes against the citizens of this board.
In this case the scammer just left, never said a word. His site is still up, though, and there is at least one post pointing to the very same site where the accused stole the funds. The second page from the end in the btcpak announcement thread has the accused posting his site where he then proceeded to (apparently) steal actual money from people who used the service. I will not link to that thread because the scammers post their has done enough damage to the community. (perhaps a moderator could research the issue and remove the offending post?)
Allowing self moderated posts in the currency area by newbies and allowing accused scammers to walk around without tags is insulting to the citizens and makes the site owners and moderators accessories in an actual crime.
