I want to start with ccminer as I was told this is one of the best to use that it can mine anything.  I am just wondering if there are any particular pools which can pay out regularly and are fairly secure.  I'd like to at least get paid out once per week, so I don't risk losing too much if it gets hacked (e.g.recent nicehash hack).

I'm just starting out so I haven't yet joined any pools.  What are some of the very best pools?

Hi,

I am in the same boat. I just started yesterday with nicehash and find out today about the high fees and the hack. So is there anything similar to nicehash out there with less fees and secure?

Hello,

I was also a Nicehash User and still has around .01 BTC stuck with them after the hack. I would recommend to avoid there wagon for time being till they clear out balances and have restored their reputation. Because still they haven't come out clean on the enite incident and have given a date of 31st Jan as announcment of how they will reimburse stolen funds. After nicehack , I did a lot of research and below are few options which worked out for me -

1) Mining Pool Hub - This is by far the best pool I have used. They have a good variety of coins and have auto conversion to BTC or you can take out mined coins directly. They have given instructions on how to mine each coin, however I would recommend to check out this forum for various miners available with algo support. They have auto profit switching algo setup guide , but it did not work for me. And I went the mine single coin route.

2) whattomine - This is a pretty amazing site which based on your hardware provides which coin to mine on profitability. Mining pool hub doesn't cover all the possible coins out there. Based on your hardware , you can directly mine using official wallets. I usually change coins once a week as I don't get time to switch miners everyday. You can they go to an exchange like bitrex , cryptopia etc where the coin you mined are traded and covert them to BTC or equivalent and withdraw.

Here an example of my earning before and after nicehack -

With Nicehash I used to withdraw once every month. Nicehash was hacked just before I was about to withdraw.

I had earned around 200$ roughly before hack. Then I went to mining pool hub and individual coin mining. This month I have earned around 310$ using the same hardware except addition of 1 1050ti GPU. Hope this helps.

Cheers

What coin you want to mining? If you start mining please visit the announcement of the coin, usually there is provided the official pool of the coin and its alternative pool.
