if a bot spams the forums, at least the spam will be isolated in the newbies forum and not all over the place.   Cheesy

the sense of 5 posts is.... none, better way would  be 0.01 or 0.005 btc to get full access.

If you don't see the point of worthless posts, well frankly, don't make worthless posts. There's plenty of opportunity in the newbie section to make valuable posts.

I see the point of making worthless posts for me: I'm making this post, to escape from newbie island.

From the perspective of the moderators or other users I can't see the point, because the hurdle - while annoying - is easy to overcome.

I like the idea of a tiny initial fractional charge for posting; plenty of other forums out there have a small one-time fee to keep the trolls and spammers out.  It is a bit of a hassle to build up five newbie posts so that I can thank the cudaminer devs and post my rig specs for feedback.
