What would be nice to see an analysis of the ICO like Trezos and CIVIC compared to other ICOs because it seems they had simply a different "audience" they were selling it too.
I can't believe that a couple of crappy articles (which aren't being read) will give you several millions of investment.

I started to make a list of companies who are in the business of market your ICO to masses and so far I found:

Full Fledge (Advertising/PR + Legal):

ArgonGroup: https://argongroup.com (Notable work: SALT, STORJ)
SuicideVentures: http://suicide.ventures (Notable work: SONM)
ICO Box: https://icobox.io  (Doing their own ICO)
KickICO: https://www.kickico.com (Doing their own ICO)

Pure advertising:

CoinTraffic: https://cointraffic.io  (Have a special package to promote ICO)

If you know more ressources, please let me know.

After analyze, my understanding is successful ICO have a current marketing budget of $100,000 to 250,000 USD for pure advertising (not including their bounty)

You must take social media seriously, facebook, twitter, reddit, linkedin, bitcointalk all of them are critical. The most important aspect of marketing is to make sure the token has a legitimate purpose and fills a market need. Then you need to communicate that and add social validation. Almost all of the marketing effort takes place before the actual sale event.

Of course they benefit from bitcointalk and not that is defiantly not what I am saying

The company that assist in making ICO of your project is capable to make a marketing campaign on its own. Or they simply advice you other marketing companies. To be successful you should spend quite a big amount of money starting from some 30-40 k$.

Hey guys,

do you have any idea what the "big" ICOs are doing for their advertisement?
Because for me it seems like that they are not simply doing some ads and getting millions in sales.
For me it seems that are having targeted advertisements for big investors .

Does anyone has a bit insight into this matter?

Thank you!

Greetings!

For me its still an open question, I am sure that nowadays the marketing works also about angle investors and it seems to be a different kind of marketing!
