hab grad ein paar bitcoins verschickt. jetzt steht im bitcoin-client beim status "0 / Offline?".

ich gehe davon aus, dass der empfänger gerade offline ist. wusste gar nicht, dass der dafür zwangsläufig online sein muss. was würde jetzt passieren, wenn ich den client ausschalte. bleiben die bitcoins erstmal bei mir und werden bei der nächsten gelegenheit, wenn beide online sind automatisch übertragen?

kann ich den client beruhigt ausstellen?

Nein er muss nicht online sein. Du hast das System missverstanden. Du sendest ihm ja nicht wirklich Bitcoins, die auf Deinem Rechner liegen. Alle Bitcoins "liegen" im Peer-to-Peer-Netzwerk und zusätzlich die Info, wem das entsprechende Bitcoin gehört. Der Wechsel des Besitzer (sog. Transaktion) muss allerdings erst vom Netzwerk bestätigt werden. Das dauert einige Zeit. Nach dieser Zeit gehören die Bitcoins automatisch dem Empfänger (was er durch die Datei wallet.dat nachweist), egal ob er seit Start der Transaktion online war oder nicht.
