The top 10 is very subjective. If you wanna go by marketcap (i dont think it truly shows the best 10 coins though), check CoinMarketCap - in my opinion some of the coins in the top10 there are very overpriced and a few are very shady - i wouldn't invest in them (ripple and NEM for example).

If you're looking for historical information then you can use coinmarketcap.com and wikipedia. But if you want to know which one to invest in or trade, there would be a lot of things to consider since a coins profiting value is highly dependent on speculation and the ever changing market. Unless of course you're a whale then none of this matters.

If you wan to top 10 coin list you can check coinmarketcap. You can found a great tips and treks wit real coin. You can analysis alt coin there are many coin but you should first time analysis than you dedicated to which coin is best. My Top coin is Xvg, Nxm, Ltc. Eth. Doge, Ripple , Dasa, one ,Neo ,Zcash, waves etc.

As well as coinmarketcap you can also try worldcoinindex and cryptocompare but they all give the same information just have different feels to them..

Of all of these altcoins, ETH,BCH,ETC, and DeepOnion are the altcoins with more future i think. Im really impressed of the community that DeepOnion created in just a couple of mounths..... The best web site of my point o view is coinmarketcap and you can try also cryptocompare, worldcoinindex I don’t know about the last two, but at coinmarketcap you can see not only top 100 altcoins, but also their website and announcement thread at bitcointalk, which is  very interesting to read.
