semux.bat can not be opened
My operating system is WIN 10
The file is placed in C:
Download newest release here: https://github.com/semuxproject/semux/releasessemux-1.0.0-beta.4.zip Maybe install Java first. Unzip the complete folder. If it not works, try to open it with command line and copy + paste error message. This is better to give help. Maybe dev knows the error and can say something about that, or maybe you use an old or wrong version and it runs with a new download from github. |

Just like Zwiebo said, I believe you need to download and install Java first. After that .bat should run normally. Signed up for the airdrop but nothing yet.  |

Please follow instructions from GitHub project page: https://github.com/semuxproject/semux1. Download and install Java SE Runtime Environment 8. 2. Download the Latest Release and unpack it to a desired directory. 3. Run semux.bat if you're on Windows; or run ./semux.sh if you're on Linux or macOS. Be sure that your system date and time is properly synchronized. To run in command line mode, add --cli as a parameter. 4. (Windows user) You may also need to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package. |

No other Java based blockchain. Semux is the first of its kind. And that's why this is so cool to support. Something different instead of the same ole thing over and over that's been seen before. Dude... the entire consensus model is completely different than bitcoin or almost any other altcoin. It uses BFT, which means transactions are confirmed permanently after 1 confirmation. It's has completely different security model and is superior. A big step forward! Also, like ethereum will have smart contract system, but better than Ethereum will use a 64bit Java-based VM. That means no learning new languages to use this thing. I don't think you quite understand what a big advance semux is. |

Hmm. Thanks guys, but how about compared to NEO blockchain, for example? It uses dBFT, so isn't that the same as SEM? Not seeing the difference here, but would appreciate your input on this matter. Thanks.
