project look nice tried to install the wallet but seems not working to me, is the walle compatible with windows or we have to use linux to install?

I am really interested in this, the thing I cant figure out is is this purely peer to peer, as in are there miners - or masternodes, or could someone explain to me what validators and delegates are. I was going through the website but it wasnt clear to me.
Looks like a wonderful piece of work.
