The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

And if you use your wallet online, you don't need to change anything?

I am using web wallet now and it works fine. I think it is updated already.

What does it matter?
Read about CEO Bitcoin.com Roger Ver.
he sold explosives on ebay, and even served time, it does not prevent him from attracting Finance to the crypto world.

John McAfee on the run from the government, Satoshi Nakamoto still not found...
on the planet at all little people with a normal past

this troll vejonkaren makes references on himself Grin

vejonkaren aka Mr-BTC aka uk82 is a known ukrainian scammer. He has tens of newbie accounts in Bitcointalk to promote his scams and to troll other projects.
He stays behind such scam projects as EtherCC and CryptoCourt and many other scam projects which disappeared in one minute with all the investors money.

Looks like we have new validator https://semux.info/explorer/account/0xafa93db050c9322e98adfa9b8722ca145592ab84

Registered yesterday and already mined 16 blocks. More and more competition in validators list.

Learn more about the new FAST_SYNC protocol.
It is included in Semux 2.0 and it can save for regular users up to 90% of disk space and speedup the synchronisation from scratch.
Read details in a blog post:

Congratulations to the Semux team on delivery of the Semux Smart Contract VM!

As usual the Semux developers have done an excellent job and delivered, yet another, highly stable cutting-edge feature.  Well done Semux team!

We would like to hear more about this exciting feature and perhaps have a tutorial on how to start writing smart contracts on the Semux platform.

Our view is that Semux is flying under the radar as one of the most truely awesome cryptocurrency projects, whose full recognition has yet to come!

While some other highly promoted projects are faking it in the limelight with hyped up marketing and fake transaction volume, the Semux developers have quietly delivered a fully functional, highly decentralized blockchain with transaction finality after a single confirmation using a novel BFT algorithm and now with smart contract support.

Is there a way we can help start marketing and promoting Semux?  Is there a Semux whitepaper and security proof available?

HD wallet and fast sync are awesome!  Do we need to re-backup our wallets and private keys once we upgrade to HD wallet?

What features are planned next?

After first start of HD wallet you will need backup mnemonic phrase, but it will be work only for new generated addresses. So if you want restore all your coins from mnemonic phrase, better send them all on new generated address.
To be in safety backup private keys for all addresses and copy wallet.data  too.

Great Team - nice timing! All what promised done yet on time. Keep going!

I would like to see a design update, but it's just my whishes for future.
Now I see everything is working great technically, and this is the most important part.

Yeah- it's still unknown project cause the marketing is not set yet. Well bitcoin get good known in year 2017, after 9 years of it's birth.
Semux is 2 years old.
So we need all more patience.
The slower we drive, the faster we arrive.

Any plans for android/iOS wallet?

Who is standing behind this coin? If this is not an anonymous coin than you should announce developers of this project. This can give more trust to coin  Huh
Of course, if the developers had revealed themselves, then undoubtedly this would have caused more confidence from the side of the community and investors. But on the other hand, the basis of cryptocurrencies is anonymity, nobody still knows the developers of bitcoin.

Pretty faces more important to you than years of writing code and publishing to Semux github repo?

You guys must understand that people want to have a decentralised project and choose privacy, so stop bitching and appreciate their hard work.

Here you go. Look at this ugly face. Welcome one of the Semux core devs Pavel Ogorodnikov aka Savel

wtf wrong with you man. Savel is not core developer. He is not a developer at all.
He is one of 43 public pool operators: http://pool.7u.org/

I was using his pool in the past and I didn't have any issues with daily payouts.

Stop this dumb FUD, you look really incompetent and it seems you know nothing about this project.

Great job on the release of 2.0 VM, HD-wallets and fast-sync protocol. The core developers have been consistent with their roadmap timelines, communicative through Discord and other channels, and have done an outstanding job so far.

Looking forward to the Semux developer program details and possible outreach to increase awareness of the fantastic technology that this team has built!

I've been watching this project since early 2018 and there has been nothing but great tech and responsiveness from this project.

Cheers to Q4 2019 and 2020.

Semux developers are awesome!

There are advantages and disadvantages to developers with private identities.  If the Semux developers wish to remain anonymous, instead they could expand their team by on-boarding some non-anonymous developers and community leaders in an effort to create a nonprofit Semux foundation.  This foundation could handle all aspects of Semux to establish trusted relationships with exchanges and other key third-parties.
