DeepOnion holders will be getting their airdrop funds tomorrow. I'd personally wait until saturday or sunday to buy in, since I expect the price to crash a little tomorrow.
That being said, it's too early to tell where the coin is headed with certainty.

I'd suggest riding the weekly wave that I predict will happen with deep onion.
The price should be easy to predict with their weekly airdrop dumps. (i.e price will be low on friday and high the following thursday)

That being said, I've been around a little while and DeepOnion has exploded on the scene with more force than I've seen in a while. The community is growing daily and I think it does offer some real value as far as the features that it offers.

You'll find both sides of the discussion on here - but the best thing you can do is read through the forums and research it yourself. Then you can feel comfortable that you're making the best decision with your money.

There is a biased responses here now and I think by analyzing their statement, you can have your own opinion.

Remember that no one knows the future of the project and definitely we can ups and down on the way. If you afford to invest and knows all the risk including that you may loss some money, just gamble your money and see if it will worth it to see if DeepOnion if worth it or not to hold for years.

Personally I think this coin has a big chance to become a trusted value in the cryptomarket.

I agree the community seems pretty active, and I like the idea of the coin, but because of the 10% limit once the next 30 weeks are over with the price should drop big. I would not buy until that point given it will probably go up a little or a lot after the "free money" people leave

However, DeepOnion devs need to deliver their deepsend feature ASAP to be a real contender in the market. It's important not to hide only IP, but also inputs, outputs, origins and destinations of your transactions. I'm not completely convinced yet, but I made some investments into the coin to see where it goes. So far, it seems like most people involved (the buyers) have no idea what they're doing and are just panick selling when the price drops even a bit. Though, if they are part of the campaign they will probably be banned.

Today there was a big drop in price, but I will HODL and see how it's going to develop with time. There is some potential for the coin for sure, but it's going to depend on the community whether it's going to be worthwhile.

Technically, this coin is as good as a privacy is going to get on the blockchain. However there are alternatives that are setup to make the fiat conversion also quite private, thus avoiding (evading?) tax easier.

Yea that's what I read a lot of people were complaining about but I have no direct experience with witnessing people getting banned or anything so I can't really speak on it. What have you experienced with that?

The ATH price of 19$ was way too big for a coin that was distributed for free through signature airdrops. It was caused by the pump of the whole crypto market from January. I think that a more realistic price for ONION is something like 1$
