I definitely would love to see this happen!! Not too sure it would go as high as $1000 by the end of the year, but I for one would be happy to see it continue to slowly gain traction and rise!! Maybe somewhere in the $450 price range by end of year, that would make me happy!

Hopefully and i hope that happens. Because my investment in ETH has weakened more than $2K. Had thought to sell it, but still hope end this year ETH can return above 0.08btc.

same here. Have 50% of my investment on $ETH and I don't plan to touch it no matter what. Patience is a virtue and I can wait. |

why are you thinking about the end of the year? now at full purchase level. Take a look at the value as btc. Do not you see how fallen eth .. If you want a definite gain in a short time, definitely get some ethereum before the fork is finished. During the day the prices were quite low. I bought some, and even now I earned 15 dollars. The estimated post-fork income would be $ 100 per token. If you are considering a 1-2 month investment, definitely get ethereum.. yeah yeah.. this is an investment recommendation.

I think the idea is too far fetched. Ethereum's price do struggle to break or even reach $450 as of today. Also, if Ethereum's price changed that much expect bitcoin will be priced at or almost $10000. The idea of Ethereum having $1000 in a span of 2-3 months is way too absurd. Maybe over the course of a 2 year period not a couple of months.
I think the price of ETH and BTC will be $1000 and $10,000 respectively. I believe only time will tell if that ends up as mentioned by you. ETH may see a huge push after its HF, apparently which looks like it is going to be successful. This upgrade will bring a whole lot of development and make us to see a new era for ETH, $1000 in ending of this year really seems impossible but who knows? It is cryptoworld and surprises are just always around the corner. |

I have very much same thinking as you possess.There is no doubt that the coming bitcoin fork will change the prices of altcoins but it is not the first time that a BTC fork is being launched in the crypto world. Above that, Ethereum is abundant in its supply. That is why even after having a great community, it cannot make large increments. |

You forget the price of Bitcoin effected the price of all cryptocurrencies, not only Ethereum is altcoin has a large community falled down the price. However, look at the USD rates, I think we still keep our profits for convert to FIAT because the final place to take profits always FIAT. |

I don't think we will see ETH at 1K in next 12 months. Much more probable value is $500-$600 in 6-12 months. People are now returning to alts after canceled hard fork.

next target should be around 800$ for january 18 serious? I think its quite positive that the price keeped stable after another bug was found out and killed 280 million dollars... I love ETH....but it is by far not the perfect coin. And for reaching that high...you have to be the BEST platform with no doubts. As longer it takes as more competitors come and as harder it gets with every bug. 400$ is what i see. |

But as it's historical record since from existence, I can say that it's price increase in the market won't be the same as bitcoin. A rapid increase of bitcoin is contrary to eth price, but it's gradually increase still have possibilities to reach that amount or more. |

I doubt it will happen by the end of the year, but I can imagine it happening in 2018, when many of the upgrades are slowly getting implemented, we'll be seeing huge interest not only from retail investors but from institutional investors as well, similarly to BTC. The good thing about ETH is that is has great adoption and a huge ecosystem where many projects are launching their decentralized apps, and that will contribute greatly not only to the blockchain development, but to the price of ETH as well... in the long term 1000 will be nothing compared to the true potential of ETH.
