i need to know how long the sides and the height of a hexagon are if its 3.8333cm from one side to the other
this line (crudely drawn) no idea how it's called in english wich is why i can't uneash my google-fu on it Sad

little background;
this isnt a homework assignment Tongue
im trying to re-create a certain LoL pic in a much higher resolution, i've calculated that i want the hex to be 115 pixels wide, or 3.8333cm (1cm=30 pixels) but i need to know how high it is and how long the sides are

Since a=3.8333cm

A=4.426314cm
s=2.213157cm

Just realised you have 2 values for a:

3.833 from the picture and 3.8333 from your text, which is the correct value to use?

Edit:

I just read about your pixel to cm conversion and according to this /]http://www.translatorscafe.com/cafe/units-converter/typography/calculator/pixel-(X)-to-centimeter-[cm]/

1cm = 37.795275591px

which means your value for a should be 3.042708333cm If this is the case then it follows:

A=3.51341695cm
s=1.756708475cm

Ones just 2dp and another is 3dp. It's 3.833 repeater I'd say

exactly, the value is created by 115/30
the hex is 115 pixels wide, and i have 30 pixels per cm
thought it would be easier to calculate in cm than pixels, was i wrong?

anyway, looks good to me so post an adress and il transfer the coins
