We have been discussing this in our Slack channel. Apparently this is very common in the situation where a large group is all solo mining. Most likely someone with higher hash power is pulling the blocks out from under you. We have been making more progress on a pool so hopefully that can solve that problem soon!

In fact, when restart wallet it'll disappear but the problem is block accepted and my balance credited 5 EDU but then it deducted -5 EDU, it's very uncomfortable feeling. Now i only stake and wait a pool. it already took some coins from my balance

Ok guys, I set up a pool dedicated for EduCoin. It's quite stable for now. I would love you to try and use it, so that I can improve the setup if anything can be improved :

I've set the diff between 128 and 1024 for now. It may be subject to some changes later.

Just adapt it to your mining software and/or your bat config.

No need for password, but if your software asks for it, just write anything (like "123"), it will work.

When mining starts, the sgminer indicates: Building binary maxcoinTongaqw12814.bin

My question is: What should I do to make Sgminer work with the Keccack algorithm?

In this thread, indicate that for the case of Educoin should be appended this configuration

First question, I take it that you are solomining. It might be easier to just join the pool which is listed right above. We have that posted above and will will be adding all that to our OP and website.

If you would prefer to solomine however you need to follow these instructions:

create file EduCoin.conf in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\EduCoin2017

Theoretically we would "lose" nothing however on the flip side what would we "gain" by using ETH? Our primary purpose is to create a coin that honors the original Educoin, helps advance it forward, and promotes crypto education. Mining is still an integral part of the integral part of the cryptocurrency community. We have talked about offering multiple "micro"-chains utilizing multiple methods (ETH included) in the future that would assist in that educational process.

We have been added to the c-cex voting page to be added to their exchange. We are also working with a few other exchanges on getting involved.

We have made HUGE progress with our pool and we think we may have a functional pool available. I should have more info within the next 24hr
