Would you accept bitcoin as your salary in your profession, especially if you work in other country?

For me yes I will accept bitcoin because we can exchange it in our local currency.

I do not accept as salary from my work. The work I do is quite stable, the salary I get from that job is also stable. So I can not accept the change in salary. The price of bitcoin fluctuates pretty much, if risk occurs, my salary will be very little

True, salary is a way to fulfill our daily needs, while bitcoin is for investment purpose that we can afford to lose it if something that isn't on our favor happened.

I would happily accept bitcoin as salary for my regular job. I am very confident that bitcoin's value will continue skyrocketing in the future which will give me huge profits in the long run. Grin

I'd rather go for it also because that would be freakin' awesome to have bitcoin as a salary. We could easily save money by this, but that is too good to be true right now, in my opinion, especially there are so many issues on bitcoin right now on some countries, China is an example for banning ICO and thanks to them the whole market panicked causing the bitcoin's price to DUMP.

Before this thing could happen, bitcoin becoming our salary? It would be going first to SEC's approval before we could get the Governments all over the world to make that happen.

True, salary is a way to fulfill our daily needs, while bitcoin is for investment purpose that we can afford to lose it if something that isn't on our favor happened.

Bitcoin's value is very volatile and you always have the option to convert your bitcoins into fiat after accepting it as a salary or you can use half of your coins as an investment, and the other half for your daily essentials. If I were given an option to accept bitcoin as my salary, I would accept it to an extent that it must be given regularly regardless of the price of bitcoins. This is obviously a risk, but the opportunity it provides supersedes the risk that I am taking.

One factor that can also affect my decision on accepting bitcoin as my salary is the obligations present at my current state. If I have a family, then obviously bitcoin as my salary might lead to our downfall. But if I do not have a family and I am only supporting myself, then I would gladly take the risk and pray that the outcome would benefit me in the future.

It would be the dream of every average worker if the BTC still follows the forecast which has been carried out so far, not only for the ease of change to a national currency but what this entails for who is receiving it, something like having the opportunity to increase your salary just by having bitcoin. I want it.

If I got paid in Bitcoin as a salary for a regular job, that would be the most ideal situation and I would be so glad. I could try and convince my boss but he might figure out it'll grow in value over time haha.

If I am working, I would agree if I will receive my salary as bitcoins. I have few points why: one of those is the convenience; it saves money, time, and effort checking or withdrawing because if it will be sent to my btc address, then I'll just check my wallet how much did I have. Also the security. I am sure that my bitcoins would not be stolen from me because my bitcoin wallet is safe. Those are few points and I can say that it will be helpful for me in the corporate world.

i don't think that there is any company that want pay their employee with bitcoin because bitcoin is not yet used as payment system. but if i've been offered for this, i don't want to receive bitcoin as salary because in my country, bitcoin is not yet become a currency so i am difficult to find any local store that want accepting bitcoin as payment. i'd better to receive fiat so i can directly buy something with my money and i will make bitcoin as my investment.

I won't, logically bitcoin is not stable the price is very fluctuating anytime, if bitcoin is at the lowest price do you still want a bitcoin salary?
I still choose fiat as salary because fiat is stable

It's interesting to see all these "that would be great" responses.

Guys, you can get your salary paid in Bitcoin. There are at least two services that offer it, they are:

  • BitWage: You just need to tell your payroll folks to direct some or all of your paycheck to this company and they will convert it to Bitcoin for you.
  • BitPay: Offers the service for employers to subscribe to, to enable being paid in Bitcoin as an option.

Sign up for one of these options and start off small.

Everything depends on Rules and regulations in their country if bitcoin legal then it will be very easy to handle otherwise will be very much difficult for theirs. I think it would be the best opportunity for everyone if bitcoin is legal and it will pay as a regular job salary, Bitcoin is a digital currency that's why it will be more flexible.I want to say that yes but unfortunately it is not possible to certain laws. but it is unpredictable for me due to my country rules and regulation .

why not? if it can fulfill my daily needs.
I can withdraw it when price rise up and save the rest for investation or emergency money. after all I'm still single so I don’t have any dependent yet.

I am agree with you that non professional will refuse to him in bitcoin his salary but I am eagerly waiting for that day but it may be happened when bitcoin become a national currency of a country or it recognized legal currency across the world. Although it is not stable but I would accept and I hope many of my friends would also accept bitcoin payment against his salary.

Bitcoin's price is volatile, going up and down fastly, so it can't be given as a salary for a regular offline job. People need to take their salaries with stable currencies, like fiat, to avoid any risk. But Bitcoin can be generated as additional income which help people around the world to solve many financial problems.
Maybe in the future, if Bitcoin's get more stability of its price, it can be used to pay salaries in some countries.
