Bitmixer decide to close their service,to bad for us users but they have their reasons for this decision.

ChipMixer offers 0 fees, but this doesn't mean they will continue doing so in the future. At the end of the day, even mixing services are businesses, and a business aims to make profit. If you read through ChipMixer's thread, they might be opening up for investors to start 'lending' their coins to ChipMixer -- this event will cause ChipMixer to start charging fees. Other than that, I wish any mixing service looking to offer people privacy a good future. Let's not derail this thread any further....

Don't want to be rude but your action seems like promoting chipmixer over bitmixcoin. Currently we can't say they are scammers because as we see they used escrow. I don't like when mixers try to have similar name of bitmixer but maybe that's because of promotion (still don't like this). Let's see what future will show us, as they say they are going to escrow 10, 50, 100 and 500 bitcoin. And if they prove that they own 2000 btc reserve, sorry but I think you have don't have to say bad about them without real proofs. Being a clone with a very similar name does not, in itself, mean it is a scam.

One thing that makes the difference. we put BTC in escrow, no-one else did.

even if we sign a wallet with 100,000 bitcoins, this is still not a guarantee you won't get scammed. we start by placing 10BTC since our customer base is still low, once we gain a bigger trust and customers base, we will place 100 BTC in escrow to make sure no one of our customer will ever be scammed.

Although I have the sig of this service, I have not seen any dmca take down issued by bitmix.io... Since bitmix.io have stooped their service and refused to sell his website I don't understand the people who are complaining about them copying the website... have they ever claimed they have not copied it? they haven't even tried to hide it so why complain about it?

I found out the hard way that forensic blockchain analysis is real. I tend to keep that in mind when dong big things with bitcoin. Using a good and secure mixer is a necessity not a choice for me. Choosing one is often difficult, so I spread my transactions around different ones. My experiences have been generally okay, except for when I was scammed by coinmixer.net, run by serial scammer  moriartybitcoin. I hope that fucker is dead, and his death was/is slow and painful.
I have used just about every mixer out there. from helix, bitblender, bitmixer.io - oh how I miss bitmixer - and most recently chipmixer. And I must say bitmixcoin has surprised me a lot. I took it for another shitty clone of "the mixer with no bottle", that shut down after a little heat from LE. However, its been smooth sailing so far and I rate them A++.  I will keep using different mixers, especially the established ones, but bitmixcoin will remain number one on my list until something changes.

But the thing is; everyone is free to mix small amount several times if they are doubting a mixing service, not only this one (does not intend to defend this site). But, a mixer service actually doesn't need to escrow funds, in this case just for insurance but you said this is not the right way of doing it? Maybe you should mentioned about the right way to do it. There is another mixing service which doesn't escrow their funds at all, only based on their trust in this forum. You are right, the truth is that the only way a mixer can prove it is legit and not scamming is remaining in business over a long period of time. There is absolutely no other way they can prove their intentions apart from revealing the identities of the people behind the mixer. Trust is gained over time. Even when a website or business is trusted, and has been in business for several years, they can still exit scam. A good example is MTGOX. The reason they made away with so much coins is that people completely trusted them and left huge amount of coins on the exchange.

I think bitmixcoin is chugging along nicely, I am yet to mix any coins with them, but I will be doing so asap, so that I can take part in the video contest. The only way to make a good promotion  video is trying out the mixer. At the very least if they scam me of the .01btc I plan on depositing, the escrow will pay that back. The escrowed amount is a good thing, and it should not be sneered at. More start ups should be encouraged to do the same and increase consumer confidence. I would rather take my business to someone that offers me escrow insurance than give it to a company based solely on their signature campaign.

You've got a good point, with Bitcoin's current price, 10BTC in escrow is a relatively reasonable price to put in escrow, like your said, more likely people will mix lower amounts.

If the escrow service would not consider the current bitcoin price, there are many other escrow providers.

I would like to put myself in line for any run on the escrow.  I sent a tx a while ago and my delay has been exceeded by atleast 3 hours.  

I emailed bitmixcoin@protonmail.com with the letters of garantee and the TX ids and let them know that I havent recieved my coins.

A few of the transaction of the last few hours got delayed due to an unusual overload.
The problem has been fix and we apologize for the error and the delay.

About the escrow- We have noticed that only few people are mixing more than 1 bitcoin at a time therefore we think that 5 btc escrow is more than enough.
We are also the ONLY  mixing company in the world that provides escrow (no one else have done it before), with the recent bitcoin price going up, we now with 5 btc have more money in escrow than when we started with the 10 btc.
Also, escrow services are not cheap and costs monthly payments, don't forget that's about 50,000$ in escrow (at one point in the recent past we had around 200,000$ in escrow).

Generally speaking, you are correct but there are many different ways to define "Clean Bitcoins" i won't expose those methods and how to do it (i'm pretty sure you're an expert and you know how to do so)  but theoretically speaking, Bitcoins coming from 'legit' exchanges are pretty clean.

There are no rules that require an escrow, the forum can't stop anyone from using their escrow as they wish.
The escrow was a fake guarantee anyway, it was only enough for 20 minutes of user funds being mixed.

Honestly, at this point, you should just PM Loyce with your Letter of Guarantee. I'm pretty sure he isn't working for the NSA, so he doesn't care about where you are sending the coins to. Also, if Loyce confirms that your history is real and you get your coins back, you can just mix them again with a different mixer (or even BitMixCoin again if you feel safe).

I also think escrowing money this way is pretty stupid (and maybe even shady). If you want to provide safety (with an escrow) to those who are using your service, you should always publicly announce that you are taking the money back at least 24 hours before receiving it. Otherwise, what's the point of an escrow if you can get the money back whenever you want? (E.g: wait until someone sends a big amount of BTC, get the escrowed coins back and run away with the escrowed + scammed BTC).

Maybe, but I personally if did not receive such an amount in first half hour(I means no broadcasted in blockchain) would start worry and after hour start post question wherever possible.

so everyone would agree that nothing is fixed or solved until your customer gets back his bitcoin

and the deposit address signed in that letter has received a ~16BTC transaction over a week before bitmixcoin.io claimed to NOT have received the btc.

Maybe it is not a good move to write in other's mixing services ANNs, however in the light of the last events we cannot name bitmixcoin a mixing service. It is most likely a scam adventure.

You know, for me this is a remarkable incident. I tried so hard to build my own service and still put a lot of effort in it. Unfortunately we have quite poor reserve and it was 2 times already when people sent us more coins than we can handle. It is a pity that people trust us and we cannot handle their requests properly. I have returned all the funds to the users.

And now when I see that somebody is ready to send 16BTC to a mixer without so much reputation. I am like  give me those coins and I will build a great business that will benefit all the participants. Well, of course it doesn't work like this.

Bitmixcoin claimed toberichter would confirm they have repaid the 16BTC, yet there has been a post by toberichter today, and no such confirmation (quite the opposite, "Scam confirmed").
Everyone should realize by now that this has turned into an exit scam and any coins sent to bitmixcoin are lost forever.

Just got the refund from @PrivCoin.

I reviewed the letter and this user was scammed by the service unless they come back and provide the coins or an explanation. We get people asking to switch addresses with good reason all the time for example ETH contracts that will reject ETH.
