This is a serious post and I'd like the current team (?) to honestly answer it.
Quote
D. Fair start of the coin by posting in public forum, offering the opportunity to all. No pre-mine,
no development fund, all coins to be mined by the community.
Quote
 GitHub announcement at Block #71 with no public pools. Link
 Announced in Zclassic Slack in #general at Block #284 with 15KSol/s network hash
 BitcoinTalk Announcement (‘ANN’) on September 10th, 2017. Link
First of all do you honestly push for it to be a fair launch? If so, what are your criterias for a fair launch?
There are at least 31.3M coins mined by dev address https://bitcoinz.ph/address/t1Y4QACu5S6udREAEjNZgEFWLT6TASncfcL You have stopped solomining September 18th, so I assume real estimate atm is anywhere from 35M to 50M.
With 12.5K coins per block, currently there are 223.4M coins. Essentially developer has more than 10% of supply at this point. After a year developer will still own more than 2% of total supply. Is that intended and seems to be okay for a decentralized spirit of your coin? Are there plans to use those coins to pay for development? Are you a developer yourself and such a huge amount is used as an incentive for you to develop the coin?

The second issue stems from your development model. Bitcoin has shown again and again and is showing currently at this time with all the segwit2x drama how lack of governance damages the coin.
Your proposal is to get help for volunteers -- you expect people to work for free in their spare time for the good of community. It's your right. The question is how exactly do you decide on development? Your whitepaper says there's a voting process which starts on GitHub submission. How exactly does something get implemented? Who exactly votes for it and how exactly do you count the votes? You mention some kind of platform? Why should we believe this platform will not be gamed or cheated?

Third question: I happen to know a coin called ZenCash; it already has secure messaging implemented (the only real goal in your whitepaper). It has a funding model where community members, owners of ZEN, choose which projects/development to fund and pays developers for their work. ZenCash historically evolved from Zclassic which faced a simple issue - no developer would work on coin for free. What are your plans to avoid the same fate? Do you already have volunteers willing to work for free?

Fourth question: What's your coin usecase? So far your only plan seems to build an infrastructure surrounding the coin: marketing, mining, exchanges, websites, "support systems" whatever's that supposed to mean. How and why do you imagine people using your coin? What are your advantages over Zcash? Or more importantly, how exactly your coin is different from Zclassic?

Five question: Do you have an actual roadmap or are you planning to make one? Do you make updates on development and if so where can we see them(this thread, forums, blog)?

Oh and a last one. I assumed you copied the initialization params from ZEC's ceremony?, but better make sure.

Hmm the project seems to me very interesting, but its i would say the third coin in row with same algo. What can we expect from it?
When can we expect the coin to get to some serious exchange?

@Alexinus

First a few items: 1) For some reason people like yourself create new accounts (3 posts at time of this writing) to provide an endless amount of slinging, yet seem to be display some degree of knowledge in cryptocurrency and blockchain projects. Why? Are you a dev from a project that feels threatened by this?  You did mention another project. 2) It is evident that you failed to read the Community Paper thoroughly, or your speed reading skills have failed you because I believe most of your questions could have been more substantive.  Perhaps, you might have been left with too much to be implied. 3)  The idea of the community is to bring solutions and implementations to the project. If you limit yourself to purely investing time to scrutinize a strong (and only getting stronger) community, you will tire yourself out at the pace this project is moving.  It also arguably entertains the notion that the sole purpose of your post is to spread uncertainty, which is all too common in the crypto ecosystem.  I digress.  Let's look at your questions.

Yes, in my opinion it was a fair launch and discussing how it could have been based on your terms and your 'criteria' doesn't matter anymore.  The fact is, it was launched in the public space for the community in multiple channels of communication.  The principles of it being fair are mentioned throughout the Community Paper.  I cannot speak to the uses of the coins in the dev address, but it doesn't appear to have additional activity.  The next closest is 47million, 17 million more than the address you posted.  The three addresses above it hold 147 million, and they appear to still be adding to their cache, should they donate for development? Sure, if they want to.  Or maybe you'll suggest a little airdrop so you can invest a few seconds and post your address like here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2106405.msg22747402#msg22747402 and here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2149796.msg21517846#msg21517846

Just a little timeline of fairness:

Also mining started at Sep 9, 2017 4:56:35 PM https://bitcoinz.ph/tx/0a70d135d95a190435be8cc41ea02cfce61a9c9e39cd8e7515a50d52e49c57d7 & https://bitcoinz.ph/tx/8941a009d3ae842199dfbb22abb45094450071fc113ce78d7d29791ae6958329

GitHub post also on Sept 9th https://github.com/bitcoinz-pod/bitcoinz/tree/a46cca4d4a4a6eaee5ffe31cf38f3df6df1e7d7d

BitcoinZ announcement was at 5:39:18 PM on September the 10th.

This proves to be about 1 day of mining to TEST the chain and code.

Obviously you're only concerned with what the community can give you, and not what you can give to the community.

The second issue stems from your development model. Bitcoin has shown again and again and is showing currently at this time with all the segwit2x drama how lack of governance damages the coin.

Who exactly votes for it and how exactly do you count the votes? You mention some kind of platform? Why should we believe this platform will not be gamed or cheated?

Everything you've seen (or haven't taken the time to see) has happened in about four weeks time.  Every link you see, wallets (windows, linux, cold wallet, android, macOSX, iOS pending cert signing and test flight), the first web site, explorers, paper, github update, exchange listings, submissions, pools additions, mining, slack, discord, twitter, whattomine listing (pending full integration), cryptocompare, and who knows what else has been done for "free" or at the cost of a community member investing the time, something you apparently can't comprehend cause you're obviously all about "WELL WHATS IN IT FOR ME, HUH?".

The voting and proposal system is meant to give guidance on how a proposal can be fairly decided upon by the community.  There is no designated system, that is up to the proposer and their agents to decide, and the community is empowered to decide if it is fair and accurate.

Again, everything has so far has been done by volunteers, and that is one of the founding principles.  Could a group of volunteers move to raise funds and give to the community effort? Sure.  That's the essence of a completely decentralized movement.  It can be scrutinized and rejected by the community, or accepted, but the point is to impose a fair analysis.  You seem to know a lot about ZenCash and you also post responses as if you are in deep with or part of the development team like here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2047435.msg22835439#msg22835439

Quote
Fourth question: What's your coin usecase? How and why do you imagine people using your coin? What are your advantages over Zcash? Or more importantly, how exactly your coin is different from Zclassic?

You posted about a 3rd airdrop here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2106405.msg22747402#msg22747402 on a project that has a lot of what you say is 'your only plan is' on their roadmap like wallets, explorers, etc. But you don't mind getting a nice free airdrop eh? These items are how it all how it all starts.  If you read the paper those items you pointed out are referenced as the Core Community Map, and are to indicate that no proposal process is needed to develop and implement in furtherance of them.  However, any project that is part of the core community map cannot interfere with the immutability of the BitcoinZ blockchain.

Quote
Five question: Do you have an actual roadmap or are you planning to make one? Do you make updates on development and if so where can we see them(this thread, forums, blog)?

We have over 300 people across our Slack, Discord, and Twitter - this thread has been read 49,624 times (not sure how thats calculated but it sounds decent).  We publish updates and progress in these communication channels and they end up on https://bitcoinz.site or via twitter or this thread.  Things have been happening very quickly, by volunteers, and the updates eventually make it across all communication channels.  Our discord and slack #general and #mining chat is linked via relay bot, in case you have concerns about using Slack.  You can compare the specs, the principles, and the movement and easily see the differences.

Quote
Oh and a last one. I assumed you copied the initialization params from ZEC's ceremony?, but better make sure.

Care to elaborate?  I think at this point its warranted that I ask you a question.

In closing:

We are on day 31 and we have wallets for almost every computing platform, website, discord, explorers, two exchanges (submissions to more happening daily), listed on cryptocompare, whattomine, other efforts too many to list. Additionally, anyone can propose and vote using the guidance in the Community Paper.  Care to give to the community?

We're boundary-less, don't be afraid. Say hi to your dev team for us.

Wow.
I'll actually spend 20 minutes to answer your immature points, but I won't bother with formatting the text. To the random reader: I'm sorry.
I've known about bitcoin since 2008. I don't know exactly when bitcointalk happened to be. I was 16 years old at a time and did not have any finance to invest into BTC. I figured 10-20$ is not worth it and oh boy how I was wrong!
Fast forwarding I finally entered crypto as an adult this winter/spring of 2017.
I never made a bitcointalk account because I wasn't engaged in any way with community. Perhaps now I might to, since exposing immature bad actors like you is fun.
Your whole argument seems to point out about me participating in airdrops. Yes, the only reason I've registered a bitcointalk account is to participate in airdrops. That's a very investigative job you made here. To point a fact it wasn't done for "free money", as you seems to imply so ferociously, but to collect all the airdropped tokens. I have a little hobby, I refer to them as a tokemons. Here are some pictures: https://i.imgur.com/yDDbG5k.png https://i.imgur.com/JkiJ2EG.png
This is not something I had to invent. I actually did it out of sport interest.

Moving next. No, I do not know "much about crypto". I read whitepaper and I chat with people. I am not a blockchain developer myself nor am I experienced coder. It doesn't take a genius to understand how things work. This is my first and only account. In fact there are many more accounts around in cryptosphere I could link here which more or less correspond to this date of registration (summer-autumn 2017) which I actively use but I find that to be a little bit too low of a standard for a human being.

The point of my post was not to "sling"(?), but to provoke and test you. I don't know if you'll edit your post or remove it altogether but great job so far! This was the sole reason for my post. To see if you're a bad actor.

I've asked 5 people about your launch, all 5 of them have referred to it as "ninja launch". Perhaps you remember one of them: he made a swing wallet for your coin with a vulgar name on it, you deleted it.
In your opinion that's different and fair. I'm glad to hear your answer.

So there's no system in place to accept or refuse proposals. Glad to hear that too.

Yes, I'm in deep cahoots with ZenCash. In fact I'm so in love with ZenCash and it's values that I volunteered to help ZenCash, informing public about how great it is to the best of my knowledge. This is not the place nor the topic to tarnish ZenCash's name. As a volunteer I receive no monetary reward and do it solely for an idea I believe it -- the concept you seem to be familiar with, yet I'm treated by a personal attack. In fact there are many people like me helping every coin out there.

Again airdrop, think I covered it above. Btw anyone willing to trade tokemons PM me! I've missed eZEC, eRipple2 and quite a few.

Great, I'll join your slack and see what's actually going on! Quite sad you ignored the roadmap question, but whatever

In order to setup zk-snarks you have to run a setup ceremony to get trusted parameters. This is extensively covered and given coverage in Zcash. If procedure is compromised, the perpetrators gain ability to generate endless undetectable supply of coins.

In conclusion I feel really stupid for answering you. You ignored all critique which actually wasn't even ill-contented in a first place. If you honestly answered my questions I'd probably join and help the project like I help so many others. The main reason for comparison with ZenCash was due to similarity of your coins -- in fact so far BitcoinZ seems to be an exact clone of ZCL with increased supply. And ZCL kinda failed and ZEN was made because of the reasons it failed...

I hope this little chitchat will give a much needed insight to a random reader. Goodbye and goodluck with the decentralized project.

Care to share how to dual mine this with Claymore?
Am i correct to assume you mean claymore's dual ETH miner?

Currently i only see -dcoin options for dcr, sia, lbc, etc. but no btcz. When i change the pool address i to btcz anyway, i get errors like:
"n2size not detected" or "cant establish handshake blabla"

Fair launch: all coin have been mined fairly from beginning and everyone could and still can join mining. Yes devs / early joiners / volunteers believe in this coin and all were mining and are still mining. There where no incident of instamining - we have 576 block / day and after ~ 31 days from start we have 18090 block. We can say that BitcoinZ blockchain is now secured by it's 2+MSol/s hashrate.

BitcoinZ coin doesn't have any dev fee so please don't compare us to "marketing" coins with DAO fee. We will not have any POS, masternodes, DAO, DAO tokens etc.
We have different vision. There is no copro here.

Our codebase is based on:
- Bitcoin
- Zcash - best anonymous tech on the market. BTW: ZEC is codebase is 90% Bitcoin.
- few lines of ZClassic - ZEC fee removal, windows build.
All Bitcoin or Bitcoin forks code should be opensourced & free for everyone. We are also open sourced & free for everyone.
Similar to other Zcash forks we will follow Zcash code updates.
Currently we are merged with latest Zcash codebase.

More volunteers are joining the team. More pools are adopting BTCZ. We are still waiting for bigger exchange.
Latest volunteer dev releases:
MyBitcoinZ Wallet 10.0.0 release https://github.com/anthony19114/mybitcoinz/releases
- Support for Linux, OSX, Windows.
- Wallet ran local mnemonic. Backup your 12 word phrases.
- Based on Copay.

Incentive for us is coin value rise. We treat BTCZ as stock shares and of course people involved in project have stakes in BTCZ - we mine & buy.

iOS wallet will be available soon in App Store

We are still very young - 1 month after launch.
Everyone is welcome!

Well I must say I don’t understand how anyone could not be impressed by development in last 30 days of this project, perhaps poster failed to research bitcoinZ before posting and familiarise himself with community, from what I see we are going from strength to strength but with success in crypto there will always be FUD,I want to thank the devs for bringing us BitcoinZ and staying true to the fundamentals of Bitcoin and blockchain tech, this is an exciting project that’s growing fast with volunteers I’m sure we can look at funding for development down the road I noticed some great ideas posted above and slack/discord channels are full of info and great ideas for moving forward.

the difference between transparent adress and private adress!:?
tAddress is transparent - visible by network
zAddress is anonymous - but it requires lot of RAM to make transaction, and cant be used with exchanges and mining pool (if im not wrong)
