At a high level, an Initial Coin Offering (“ICO”) is a “fundraising mechanism in which new projects sell their underlying crypto tokens in exchange for early capital.” Often compared to the more mainstream Initial Public Offering (IPO), ICOs democratize the fundraising process, serving as a crowdfunding instrument that can be levered at scale. While a relatively new phenomenon, these token sales are quickly gaining momentum, empowering a global pool of investors to fund the next generation of companies.

too many scam ICO. We can't list all them here. Many ICO born everyday. So we must do it by ourselves.
- Check carefully dev team profile - advisor profile - make sure they in project
- Read whitepaper carefully and if they have a demo. that's good.
- Dont be hurry. Just keep calm and wait other user say about this ICO.

Weare like they same when im going to participate in the campaign i need to look their status and this campaign manager also is popular and very active always. And thats true we must always read the whitepaper so that we know in what this project be real.

It is easy to check if an ICO project is a scam or not, do not invest in it before research deeply, also you should leave a period to watch it, do not buy tokens in a hurry.

!!! SCAM !!! SCAM !!! SCAM !!! DAIFUTURE !!!

https://daifuture.org/ico/

You can confirm in the group:

https://t.me/celltoken

And the transactions above shows when sended 1ETH and receive a fragment of Token.. Should be 700

https://etherscan.io/tx/0xf41457c4fe7e6a8f0e29a43841f299dd822a78a78d6ebf59ac7a00f889bd43bd

The support of the Dai, sent this reply:

Hi,

If you added the new adress: 0x6eaeB67B455157A879227AAA73a8E4E27CB32E15 correctly, you have no reason to worry.

You are right, it just seems like your CELL tokens have not arrived yet.

We manually sent out the missing CELL tokens to all owners that bought during the security issue two days ago, including yours (I just checked our list).

Due to the slow ETH network currently, transactions with <20 Gwei take a long time.

I must therefore continue to ask for your patience, many in the community have already received their CELL tokens, yours are still on their way and will surely reach you.

Thank you,

DAI Team

The mail comes from: DAI Investor <investor@daifuture.org>

You can check my address, have another fragment of token, after that, they not anymore respond my mails.

Any one contribution from my part, please contact

The  Initial Coin Offering phenomenon has started to play a significant role in the crypto-startup world. Lately, more and more experts are looking to decentralized crowd-funding methods with interest.

But, the absence of legal guidelines in the operation of these ICOs has resulted in more than a few scams. This is hardly abnormal for an entirely new, unregulated field; but, would-be investors, nonetheless, find it difficult to discern potential opportunities from grab-the-money-and-run schemes. So whatever you do, you have to make sure the money you invest can be afford to lose in worst case.

It's certainly a cool idea, to add up all the ICO scam here, but I think it will be difficult to do, just for one reason that many people can say that the project is scam, but it's not a scam, just a project can be delayed a little and so on, Anyone. So I think it will be difficult

Corruption is part of the culture of many countries.  Hence, I check the corruption ranking of countries:

https://www.transparency.org/news/feature/corruption_perceptions_index_2016

If the ICO is from a country with a high corruption ranking, then you know you're taking a higher risk.  This is because the team probably has less of an issue with inaccuracies, exaggerating, lying or cheating, because these things are more ingrained in their country's culture.

Very nice analysis. I have same thought with you. A country which have high corruption ranking, have a chance to make a scam ICO. ICO, can raised a lot of money, so that can make more people become greedy.

Wow Ethereum Soft is scam? Really? I followed their telegram, and still waiting about their Airdrop distribution. But it seems they upset investor trust. Nice information, I think I have to leave that group.

It's unfortunate when they "steal" the name of an already popular coin and try to scam people by riding the popularity of the said coin.
