I would suppose they will have a listing process similar to other exchanges, in addition ICO's which are underwritten by COB will automatically be listed the moment the ICO ends.

The question I posted: "I do want to find a compelling use-case for purchasing and holding the COB token."


Here is the answer I got before the ICO ended with less than 250 million tokens sold:



1. 50% discount on margin loan fees as opposed to paying with another currency.

2. Discounts on ICO tokens that Cobinhood underwrites; no need to swap COB for new tokens, you only need to hold them.
The amount of ICO tokens that a COB holder can get at a lower rate is as follows:
(ICO Tokens Received by COBINHOOD from ICO Underwriting Service) * (The
Amount of COBs Owned) / (Total Amount of COBs)

3. The circulation will end at a good 250-300 million tokens after the ICO, while the rest is locked in a vesting pool to keep it that way.

4. They have also said that they will offer more privileges for token holders in the future, so thats another reason to invest if you trust in the companys ability to deliver on their promises.

Nice looking site.

However really what really matters is not trading fees(exchange trading fees are already quite low for high volume traders on most exchanges), but rather the amount of volume they can get on their site. If they can get into top 10 in terms of volume then they can definitely blow up.

But yeah, could turn out to be a great investment.

I think the project is interesting and the idea of having zero fees for trading is worth at least to have an account on Cobinhood. That being said, there are a lot of success factors for exchanges (not only the fees) and in my opinion, I do have some concerns about the ability of the team to execute. They did some rookie mistakes during ICO (such as their sale structure with timed bonuses, tokens were not locked and traded on EtherDelta below ICO price, the Ian Balina debacle, etc.). So I think I'll stay at the sidelines at the moment.
