Try request a refund due to false promises, because you don't know when the second batch is even going be released. So by then, who knows where the difficulty will be at.

Just curious, when did you send proof of payment? On their website, it says "First sale is over, waiting for Second sale". Didn't know they were even taking second batches order.

I received payment info from them Tuesday night around midnight eastern time. I was traveling weds so I had my wife do the wire mid day weds. I sent them the receipt and my passport photo weds. They replied thanking me and said they would let me know once they received the payment. No talk about still being in batch 1 or not. I will let you know once I hear back from them. Anyone know how long international wire transfers take?

It really depends on the banks but usually no more than 2-3 working days

Sounds like bait and switch to me.  Probably only 10 in the first batch if there even really is a first batch.  Wink

Neeeah, it's not quite like that.
I've seen users around stating that they bought 2-3 units.
I've even seen users saying they bought the units with BTC or Dash transfers while Baikal stated they only allow wire transfers for purchasing.

Long time lurker, first time poster! (Be gentle)

Sent an email to Baikal about the x10 only having 3x 6-pin connectors and pulling 800W. Got a replay saying "you will need total six 6 Pin connectors to power one Giant X10".

Still not sure this is going to be enough connectors since each 6-pin is only rated at 75W. Anyone have experience with pulling more than 75W per connector? Undecided

Your main concern being that the mother port ( on the baikal ) or the father connector ( the one from the psu ) will melt or?
Be a bit more specific and maybe I can give you an answer

6 pin PCIe connectors can carry more than 75 watts.  18 gauge wire can theoretically carry up 10 amps each. There are 3 leads that are +12V on the 6 pin PCIe connector... so theoretically 12V x 10A x 3 feeds = 360 watts.

No manufacturer uses that maximum though, but that gives you an idea of what is possible.

You are correct.
If we talk abou the 6+2 pci-e wires those can handle even more.

The main concern around baikal is: will those plastic connectors hold that type of energy / heat or will they melt ?!?

Yes, my concern would be melting one or both ends of the connectors, or pulling too much current through the 12V wires.
With 6 connectors, that's 133W each, nearly double the 75W they're rated at.
That said, an 8-pin connector is rated at 150W, so 130W through a six pin may be fine as long as the wires are sized for it.

All I know is my 800W L3+ takes 9 and this 800W Giant x10 only takes 6.  Shocked

You are wrong here.As far as I've seen from pictures and specs, the X10 has only 3 NOT 6.
