Coppercoin is on Coingecko:  https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/coppercoin  you'll see volume is up considerably today.

CMC requires 2 exchanges, so we'll have to wait until that part is done.  As I've said before, fixing the POS staking is the first priority.

For those not on Discord or Telegram yet, do you have some educated preferences on POS percentage?  The wallet is set to 3% (not working), but there have been suggestions of 5-10% annually.  Also, what % of pos finding blocks versus pow?

Metal Recyclers could/should/optionally issue CopperCoins (instead of fiat?) when someone brings in copper for recycling

Anyone out there have a 'IN' with any company that does recycling ? Would it be that hard to convince such a company to 'buy low, sell high = profit'

Also, if you are successfully solo mining Coppercoin, could you post your coppercoin.conf parameters (please obfuscate the rpcuserid & password)?  I've attempted it locally and on a vps unsuccessfully, where I've done it successfully with gpu wallets.  I'd like to use this for future ANN and also on the new website & in github.

After consulting with the community & developers, I think that I have come up with a strategy that will appeal to everyone.  I want to get your feedback before we go forward.  I will be working on another ANN after we make decisions on this, so your input on these items is essential.

POS:  Fix POS in the wallet, make it a fixed 10% annually.  This will reward those that have been buying/mining/holding since Sept 2017 and help your crypto nestegg grow.  POS implementation will also secure the blockchain against 51% attacks and double-spending attacks.  This particular item is more important than the 10% annual "interest", but the interest is a nice feature that comes along with blockchain security.

POW:  The phasing out of POW by the 84 millionth coin.  84 million coins are the current max possible supply, but this does not provide for a viable coin beyond 2019.  When we hit the 84 millionth coin, we go to pure POS.  That means that the Coppercoin chain will depend on wallets being open and providing block finding/transaction handling.  We're close to 74 million coins in current supply, so that would give the miners plenty of coins to mine and hopefully hold.

Raise Max Supply:  I propose that we raise the max supply to 168 million, which is double the current max supply.  If we stay with the current block rate per day (~7.3 million per year I've been told), then that will give us about 12 years until we hit max supply.

Utility: Personally I think that Coppercoin has a loyal following and that we individually and corporately can find utility for Coppercoin.  There are lots of ideas that have been given and I have a few ideas for payment using Coppercoin.

You can use Scrypt miners to mine this coin.  The pools I have listed will guide you on how to configure the miners.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

Just a suggestion..  Coppercoin is still at a great price and if you want to earn 10% in the future, mining or buying & holding is a great idea.  As long as I have anything to do with it, we won't do anything questionable or "pump & dump-ish". 

I've been a miner since early 2016 and have for the most part avoided PnD coins.  Making a good coin better is what I'm after with Coppercoin and also looking after the best interest of the investors & enthusiasts.  It is a hobby for me, and making money isn't everything, but it sure is nice

Your advice, suggestions & ideas are very welcome.  Please feel free to contact me via email, Telegram or Discord (all links given above).  If you have experience with social media, marketing, video production, writing ANN's, website development, infrastructure (servers, pools, etc) or are a developer, we definitely need volunteers, but I'll probably be giving out my own coin to those who do things to help out the Coppercoin community.  Let me know what you can do or what you've done and we'll talk about it.
